Steve, have you seen the shampoo?___________

No, but I did use the last of the conditioner. Sorry hon.

Diane: Steve, have you seen the shampoo?

Steve: No, _______________________?

Now, I want you to simply fill in the underlined area with your own response, and see how close it comes to what I exactly responded.

Do I look like I need shampoo?

After procuring RRC fastpasses it was now time to head back the other way again and take a slow walk back to Prime Time for our early lunch.

I wanted to go here in August, but Jimmy really likes the bad movies at sci-fi, so we are going there again.

A day and a half left, and still haven't hurt myself, so, what are the Vegas odds now, think I'll make it?

400 - 1;)

First time I read that I thought you said 'proper sugary high'. Just what you'd want to see, your surgeon with hands shaking a mile a minute from being hopped up on sugar.

:rotfl2: That would be good...now all they have to worry about is that mid morning crash from the sugar high mid operation.

That's the best part... the next of kin part, I mean. "Look we need to know this 'cause we're not too good at this operation stuff, okay? Hmmm? What? Oh, we need the next of kin information all the time! But don't worry, you'll probably be all right... probably."

All the while holding their hands below the desk so you can't see that they have their fingers crossed the whole time they are talking to you.

:headache: d'oh! Can't believe I missed that. But that would explain the constant running out doors and not using the see through pieces of glass. The only way he's going to see the truck is if it runs over him.

I can't believe you missed that one either. :confused3

:happytv::lmao:yeah, and then when he's lying there and the doctor is,,,,,HEY, I"m the "He's" you're talking about!

We would never talk about you like that...It was the other accident prone, blind Nebo...Yeah...That's it...

Psst...Do you think he fell for it?

OK...Off to catch up on the latest chapter so I don't fall too far behind again.

Hi Nebo & Smidgy:wave2:

I didn't abandon you, just haven't been on the computer much for the past 3 weeks due to Christmas, contracting a nasty virus then losing my baby for 4 days. I finally caught up on your report and thanks for the laughs I needed that.

It's a little sad that you are nearing the end of the report but very exciting that you have another trip coming up:cool1: Perhaps this next trip will make up for the past 3 :)

Diane: Steve, have you seen the shampoo?

Steve: No, I get my lustrous shine from the Disney soap?

Now, I want you to simply fill in the underlined area with your own response, and see how close it comes to what I exactly responded.

Diane: Steve, have you seen the shampoo?

Steve: No, _______________________?

Sorry honey, it was in a "little bottle", so I mixed it with some Sprite in a fuzzy cup and drank it.:drinking1

Great update, though with the end of your trip coming I am starting to feel the same, familiar stomach pang I feel when I know our trip is a day or two away from being over. I'm hoping there are many more updates for the short amount of time you and Smidgy have left.

See? You feel it too! It's not just me, and it even happens when writing the stupid trip report!

Your Mr. Potato Head plan is exactly the same as mine. I use the exact same move, and it's weird because I always feel like I need to take a picture of him, even though I have a bunch that we never look at it. Kind of like some crappy tradition that I don't even realize happens each trip.

yep, it's the same thing with the fireworks, no matter how many you have, instead of just standing there enjoying the show, no, I've got to watch it through either a little tiny hole or a 2 and half inch screen.

I'm still anxiously awaiting some kind of stumble, tumble or altercation with a foreigner in the next few chapters! I just know it's coming!! I'd place a C-Note on 2-1 odds that it happens soon!!

Well thank you for showing fall the confidence you have in me. I just may let you down.

My guess on your response to Smidgy's shampoo question.

Smidgy - "Steve, have you seen the shampoo?"
Nebo - "No, and have you seen my head lately? Do I look like someone who would have any reason to know the whereabouts of shampoo?"

That's good, but not the answer I was looking for.

Anxiously awaiting another update!

Jay

P.S. Is it me or are things lining up perfectly for my beloved Patriots right now? Worst pass defense in the league and the top two passing offenses are toast! And up next, the God awful Joe Flacco!! I haven't been this excited since there was 2 minutes left in the Pats-Giants Super Bowl. Now excuse me while I go puke at the very mention of that game!!

It's looking to me like a rematch could be in the works for you, and I'm still not the biggest Eli fan.

I just threw it in the suitcase to take home.

that's good, and would be true on the last day, but not what I'm looking for.

...I saw a shamwow ;)

Maybe...

No, I didn't forget you.

Steve, have you seen the shampoo?___________

No, but I did use the last of the conditioner. Sorry hon.

You know, it's been a while since I've used these things, but didn't Disney combine the shampoo and conditioner into a single bottle mixture?
No, that's not it either.

No, go fish. Have you seen the turtle wax?

:rolleyes1

:happytv::rotfl: Great response, but not it either.

Do I look like I need shampoo?

:lmao: yes, that would make sense,,, but not it.

I wanted to go here in August, but Jimmy really likes the bad movies at sci-fi, so we are going there again.

Sci Fi has gotten just too darn dark for me in there, maybe a hot dog and fries I could manage but last time there I tried to cut a slab of ribs and it got nasty.

400 - 1;)

Great, you give me 400-1 odds that I don't get hurt, and Jay gives me 2-1 that I do get hurt.
And oh, on a C-note.

Hi Nebo & Smidgy:wave2:

I didn't abandon you, just haven't been on the computer much for the past 3 weeks due to Christmas, contracting a nasty virus then losing my baby for 4 days. I finally caught up on your report and thanks for the laughs I needed that.

not sure I like or understand that losing my baby line?

It's a little sad that you are nearing the end of the report but very exciting that you have another trip coming up:cool1: Perhaps this next trip will make up for the past 3 :)

Yeah, yeah, I got a feeling the next trip will be great.

Sorry honey, it was in a "little bottle", so I mixed it with some Sprite in a fuzzy cup and drank it.:drinking1

Oh ick. The coconut shampoo has to go with the rum, everybody knows that.

Ok Ponzi, I'm willing to bet you come up with what I was looking for since you are my evil doppleganger anyway, so have at it.

I want you all to know nebo has been a sweetheart, taking care of me, putting up with me being home.. even being sympathetic to my bemoaning the last week of yet another favorite soap (One life to live)...

if any of you love me at all , you will. boycot the chew and the Revolution.. bad BAD shows!!!

daytime televison is now a wasteland, the minutes dragging into hours , much like the longest poem ever.. the Wasteland (which also dragged into hours, but I digress).

but, alas, I had to go back to work.... I had fun with a couple who come in every sat. night at 5:15, and order their steak or prime rir Rare... I joke with them all the time, and asked if they wanted their steaks RARE! and opened my bloody eye up to them really big... she said "so, you have pink eye?"

:scared1: no no! don't you remember I told you I was having cataract surgery/ oh no! the rest of the night, I opened with a disclaimer, lest any customers think their waitress had pink eye....

I really did not enjoy Prime Time near as much without a tv at our table... I thought that was an integral part of the experience.. and being able to "view" a small tv from afar just didn't do it.

also, both this restaurant AND sci fi... I think depends on your age. we will forgo both with our grandson becasue if you don't rmember these old tv shows, and the way your mom or grandmom's kitchen used to look, well the whole theme is lost on you.

same thing with Sci fi... if, no.1, you don't rmember these old, cheezy sci fy movies, what's the point? and if you especially don't remember drive-in movies??? double miss the point. I mean, jackson would be like "so WHY are we eating in a car and watching a movie??"

as far as toy story, I agree with Nebo.. there was a whole thread a while back on whether or not it was ok to stop the line momentarily to take a picture with Mr. potato head.

now, he is set back a bit, and the line "aisle" in widened at that point.... 2 views on this #1 it is widened so those not wanting a picture can continue walking. #2 it is widened because they expect you to take a picture with Mr. potato head.

to me, it takes only a few seconds to take a shot. heck, I would be glad to take the picture for the family in fromt of me, so they could ALL be in the picture.

chances are by the time the picture is taken, the line will still be stopped a few feet ahead. so, if the group in front of me stops to take a picture, no problem.

now if I am taking the picture, and the group behind me decides they are in such a hurry, they can't wait.. I won't say anything, either.. big deal, go on ahead... and won't YOU feel silly when , a few minutes from now, you are ahead of me and we are both still waiting?.. and if you feel "smug:snooty:" about sneaking ahead of me, well... you win. I guess. if you win anything..;)

thumperman's wife, I LOVE your smilies! how cute!!!

before I close, just want to ask for all your prayers.just found out, our grandaughter kaylee is having hernia surgery tomorrow morning. she is only 3, poor little princess! (they were going to have to wait until feb. but it got moved up.) she won't have to stay overnight, but how scary. I know Jesus will be watching over her, but your prayers are appreciated.

I have not watched those soaps since High School (I started watching GH again since I've been home with the kids and they replay it at night), but EVEN I am boycotting those new shows. I think it's terrible that they cancelled the Soaps. Do they really think the new shows are going to get more viewers?...Um, no! And I can't imagine the soaps are any more expensive to produce.

Also, I'm glad you are feeling better and that Nebo took good care of you. Sorry to hear about your granddaughter - sending prayers and postive thoughts. (LOVE the name Kaylee!)

Yeah, my DDs were like that. But they soon got into it and enjoyed the whole experience once I explained the 'why' of it.

now if I am taking the picture, and the group behind me decides they are in such a hurry, they can't wait.. I won't say anything, either.. big deal, go on ahead... and won't YOU feel silly when , a few minutes from now, you are ahead of me and we are both still waiting?.. and if you feel "smug:snooty:" about sneaking ahead of me, well... you win. I took a course on how to be an on-the-job instructor. Our teacher had us all (about 10 of us) line up on either side of an imaginary line facing each other. The goal of the exercise was to try as hard as you could to convince the person across from you to step over to your side. No pulling or anything. Logic only. You've got 2 minutes. Go!

For the next two minutes everone tried their darndest to get the other person to move and of course, no one did... Except for our twosome. As soon as the exercise started, I didn't say anything. My "opponent" looked uncertainly at me for a second then in a sheepish voice said, "Ummm... well... would you like to come over to this side?" I immediately said, "Sure" and stepped over. For the next two minutes, while everyone else was "fighting", we relaxed and had a nice conversation. The teacher asked what happened, why did I step over? I told her that I immediately knew that I wouldn't lose anything by stepping over. And I was right.

It's amazing how people will defend to the death their little bit of turf when there are absolutely no consequences to letting it go, don't you think?

Ugh. Been there. My DD had tubes put in around that age. Probably not as serious but at that age... you just don't want to see little ones having to have surgery. Rough on the parents. I'll be thinking of her. Let us know how it goes, ok?

Ok Ponzi, I'm willing to bet you come up with what I was looking for since you are my evil doppleganger anyway, so have at it.

Yippee! I'm free! Free! Should have a comment and my guess up by tonight.

Diane: Steve, have you seen the shampoo?

Steve: No, _______________________?

No, I'd need a flashlight.

Sometimes I like going through the standby lines, there can be lots of neat stuff to see, this is one of them.
It's incredible how much it must have cost to make up all the oversize games and crayons
and everything else in there, those all required engineering
and then be designed and individually made into molds and die casts just for it to be seen inside here.

Not like there's a production run on this stuff.

Back to what I was saying, some queue's you really need to go through to get all that Disney offers.

We've never done the standby line at Toy Story. Maybe it's time we did.

The second picture is my 4th grade teacher.

She looks nicer than my 4th grade teacher, who did not like me at all. She disliked the PTA even more and my mom was president of the PTA that year. (sigh) I had a miserable year.

I'm glad Smidgy is recovering. Sending payers and well wishes for your granddaughter.

Jay

Let me add my prayers from Boston, too :goodvibes

And also say it's good to see someone else who understands they must be referred to as "My Beloved Patriots". It's obvious they are the prettiest, anyone who points it out is just jealous! ;)

Nebo -- I'm going to HS morning EMH at the end of Feb. I was thinking I'd better hit Toy Story (which I've never ridden) before Star Tours...now it sounds like I'll be spending the morning checking out the queue...:rotfl: Nope. I've never done the new Star Tours either. I'm really hoping it lives up to my high expectations :chewy:

Jay

Thanks Jay, they are already back home and supposedly it all went ok, although Kaylee woke up on the way to recovery room and wanted no part of anything, especially the I V in her arm ans started screaming a bit.
Smidgy said she did the same thing last week.

Thanks Nance, but from what I have read, the new show that replaced All My Children, The Chew is bringing in the same viewer numbers as AMC, and they say is much less money to produce,,,, As Diane said, everybody's into eating shows lately.

Good plan!

I learned a long time ago it's not worth winning every argument, especially when dealing with teenagers, more often than not it's best to choose the ones that are most important and let the other ones slide, you have a better chance of being listened to if you don'[t come across as just complaining about everything.

Ugh. Been there. My DD had tubes put in around that age. Probably not as serious but at that age... you just don't want to see little ones having to have surgery. Rough on the parents. I'll be thinking of her. Let us know how it goes, ok?

Like I said, it looks like it's all ok, and as Jay said, probably something she won't remember much later in life.

Yippee! I'm free! Free! Should have a comment and my guess up by tonight.

sigh, ok Genie, I should have known you'd milk it.:rotfl:

No, I'd need a flashlight.

:lmao:That's good, I didn't think anyone wouold go in that direction, and shows you've been paying attention to that I wrote about the room lighting, Congratulations!
But that's not it.:happytv:

We've never done the standby line at Toy Story. Maybe it's time we did.

Yeah, it needs to be done at rope drop, so you can go through the standby line and still not have a long wait.

She looks nicer than my 4th grade teacher, who did not like me at all. She disliked the PTA even more and my mom was president of the PTA that year. (sigh) I had a miserable year.

Thank you, I wish everybody could be careful and stay as healthy as I do

Whoa, a Worfiedoodles snuck in

Let me add my prayers from Boston, too :goodvibes

Whoa again, and a football fan on top.
If I remember right, you had to be really happy that the Pats weren't playing the Jets again this time in the playoffs, and now you have a chance for a possible rematch
with the Giants in the Super Bowl.
Sigh, I just wish it was a rematch against the Bears, although to be honest, this Bears team is an unlikable dud compared to the last team that played the Patriots way back in '86.
Which was two days before the Challenger exploded.
That's how my brain works most of the time: I'll think
of something nice, and then something bad has to pop in at the same time.

Nebo -- I'm going to HS morning EMH at the end of Feb. Maria :upsidedow

Star Tours seems to be a personal like or dislike, I'm ambivalent about it, but I wouldn't worry about the line there like you need to for Toy Story.
By the way, I hate that they now call both early and late EMH now, it was easier to clarify when morings were referred ot as Early Entry, and nighttime was EMH.

Have fun on your trip Maria

I want you all to know nebo has been a sweetheart, taking care of me, putting up with me being home.. even being sympathetic to my bemoaning the last week of yet another favorite soap (One life to live)...

Sorry about your soap going :sad2: Of course he's taking care of you, you're a sweetheart too! ::yes::

I really did not enjoy Prime Time near as much without a tv at our table... I thought that was an integral part of the experience.. and being able to "view" a small tv from afar just didn't do it.

Oooh boy, I have Prime Time on my short list for ADRs this time (we've never been before) - I sure hope we'll have a TV table, that's part of the fun! :scared1:

heck, I would be glad to take the picture for the family in fromt of me, so they could ALL be in the picture.

before I close, just want to ask for all your prayers.just found out, our grandaughter kaylee is having hernia surgery tomorrow morning. she is only 3, poor little princess! (they were going to have to wait until feb. but it got moved up.) she won't have to stay overnight, but how scary. I know Jesus will be watching over her, but your prayers are appreciated.

Many prayers coming her way  My youngest son had a hernia operation when he was about a year old - I remember how scared I was! Hugs to all of you :flower3:

Whew! I have just finished all 120 pages. It's taken me the better part of a week, evenings, after work. My family wants to know why I have abandoned them. But I was lured. Lured by your dining review.

Great, great, great TR!! I am now hooked. I've been a mostly lurker but sometimes poster, mostly dining and CB. I always stayed away from trip reports because I thought they'd make me sad. Especially since we have no trip planned anytime soon. And it kinda did - well envious maybe. But more happy. Oooh, and a little disturbed by they eye thing. Eye things are my big phobia in life. I do really, really enjoy your writing style, all the details, the pictures. I especially loved the chapters set in CBR. That was where we stayed on our first family trip and I really loved it. My kids are desperate for me to find a way to get us back to Disney. Hubby - now there's the sticking point. I'm married to Scrooge McDisney. :sad1:

So for now I will live through trip reports - I'm going to start in on your previous ones now. :yay:

Smidgy - hope your eye thing is healing well too. I think I would have to be restrained and heavily sedated to go through what either one of you have done with your eyes.

Well Marita, at least you have company in being a bad, bad Neboite. So sorry Nebo! Drat this cursed corporate takeover at work. Seriously, it is becoming ludicrous. Everything takes twice as long with less quality. The last few weeks have just been tons of fun! :sad2:

If you can tolerate it, I would like to comment on the last few chapters. I don't really care for Fantasmic either. I remember the first time I saw it, I thought by the hordes of people that it must be well "fantastic". But nope, it wasn't, not even close. There is definitely the potential for it to be great, but oh well.

Art of Animation with Mushu is a favorite with 3 year old DD. She likes it, but her favorite part is getting to see Winnie the Pooh at the end, which we must do every single time, sometimes more than once.

I like the car stunt show, but every single time we have watched the show, we have ended up sitting near "interesting" people, much like your foot guy. Hey look kids, an extra show!

Smidgy, so glad your eye surgery went well! I hate hearing of all the pre-surgery drama though.

I will say a prayer of thanks tonight that Kaylee's sugery went well and is over. DD had a minor surgical procedure done over the summer and I was on pins and needles.

I have absolutely no idea on what in the heck your shampoo reply was, but I am on pins and needles to hear what Pkondz thinks.

What in the frip-frap was that crazy lady at Prime Time doing with that cup? What was in that cup that you poured out? I am going to wonder about this for a long time Nebo, thanks for that, really thanks. :sad2:

It's worse than The Birds, you know the birds are going to attack again, it's not if but when and that car slowly driving off doesn't make you feel any better for the outcome. But this cup thing, with grabbing your shirt, basically imploring you to get the water.....what in the heck??

Have you read "The Lady or the Tiger"? It's one of those stories that is open ended. I am curious to see what you, Smidgy, and any other Neboites think about it.

I don't want this TR to end, I know that for sure. I know that for many reasons this has been a tough trip, but Nebo, I just gotta say that I really hate the dry periods when a Nebo TR is not in progress. I look forward to hearing your take on, well, just about anything. You have a really great "feel like I've known you for years" writing voice.

In my best Terminator voice......"I'll be back"....and soon this time!! ;)
