are there any canadians that own a NOOK ? since its from Barnes and Noble, wondering if there will be a problem bringing it back home to Canada and using it.. buying ebooks for it etc.... since its an American company.

my neighbor is going to the states on business and he mentioned bringing back one of these and that brought up these questions from me.. , wondering if it was a good idea about buying a NOOK.. he said he had heard good things about it and wanted one... but I was not so sure if we canadians would have a hard time buying ebooks .. using it ......

any thoughts on this >..... thanks.

I have a nook and absoutely love it! You can buy books from the kobo site, it gives you the option to pick the format. I've played around with the kobo, but IMO the nook is a MUCH better reader.

I have a Nook Color which I purchased in the States. Best reader ever and I have had a few. I had no trouble registering my credit card with them for electronic purchases such as E-books. You can't order physical items which have to be delivered. The nook is large enough to comfortably read magazines which is difficult on the smaller b&w readers. While not as sofisticated as some tablets such as the ipad, it also serves as a very good tablet.:goodvibes
