Owner's Locker Question?

Wondering just how much these hold? We joined over a month ago and have a trip scheduled for August. This will be our first trip with OL.

Instead of paying the rental car co. for a booster seat, we were thinking of buying a backless booster seat for our 5 yr. old and storing it in the locker if it would fit. Anybody have any idea if this is feasible?

We will probably not load it up with too many things, mostly some convenience things we don't use anywhere but Disney, like ponchos, Brita water bottles, etc.

If anyone could give a good suggestion for things they keep in their lockers it would be nice to get some more ideas.

One other thing...we won't be doing it this time, but at some point when our children are older and do not want to share a bed or sofa bed together, we were thinking of getting an air mattress. My son loves to sleep on the couch as it is, so we figured DD would have enough room on the floor with the twin size air mattress. We would not be exceeding room occupancy limits since it will only be four of us, but we may prefer to alter the sleeping arrangements by bringing the air mattress. Would one of these fit in the locker?

Like I said, any ideas are welcome.

TIA

Hi DJ,
The booster seat will fit easily but of course, it will be taking up some real estate! Lots of our members say they store Aerobeds in their Locker. There are lots of Locker packing lists on The DIS and the Owner's Locker forums. here's a link to a master list of things our Members tell us they keep in their Lockers that you may find helpful:

Thank you John. I am sure to get some good ideas from these lists. I think I will enjoy knowing that there are certain things I will not have to remember to bring once I have the locker stocked.

Looking forward to getting started with it.

Your boster seat will fit & so will an air mattress.

You'll be surprised how quickly you fill your OL! We were of the same mindset initially & now we're seriously contemplating a 2nd one!

I think I'm gonna move to FL in purple boxes!

A booster seat will take up a lot of space in your owners locker. And remember, you won't have the Owner's Locker at the airport, so you wouldn't have the booster seat for the ride from the airport to Disney (which is probably the longest car ride you'll take all week, so it might defeat the purpose of storing it in your owners locker (unless you plan on renting it at the resorts).

You might just want to plan on getting that 2nd locker right now! They do fill up quickly!! ;)

Enjoy - it's a great service. :)

Just wanted to add -

we used our OL this last week for the first time for our visits to VWL and SSR. It's great!

I signed up for it w/o telling DH because I think when I first mentioned it, we weren't sure it would be worth it for the amounts we travel. But because we're going 2x this year, including once by plane (an oddity for us), I decided just to do it and if it seemed not worth it to us, we could cancel.

We filled it up with mostly toiletries, coffee supplies, and that kind of thing (and have lots of room left). To my amazement, DH thinks it's just like the greatest thing ever and was talking about what a great idea it is and he's looking forward to not having to lug all that stuff with us next trip, even though we're driving.

It was at WL when we arrived, transferred to SSR by bell services, and we dropped it off with bell services at SSR when we left (although the first guy didn't have a clue what to do with it - another guy walked up and knew immediately what it was - he got the tip!). Funny thing - we passed the OL van on our way out of SSR and I said - that must be John or Brian coming to pick up our locker - what great service! :)
