Overrated TS Restaurants?

Which restaurants do you think are overrated?

While I do really like LeCellier I think it is a little overrated, I'm not saying it doesn't have good food, it just seems like people are going there JUST because it's the popular thing to do. I thought their service was only so-so as well.

Also, we tried Boma, a few years ago when it seemed wildly popular, but DH thought that was way overrated.

This year we are trying Ohana for the first time, I'm afraid that one will be added to my overrated list, as well.

Just curious what others think.;)

I have to agree, LeCellier IMO is overrated. The other one that tops my list is Cali Grill...I don't get the appeal.

ETA: I suppose the great thing about Disney is that if you don't like one restaurant, there are plenty of other restaurant choices available that at least one is bound to appeal to you! And the restaurant you don't like, someone else will surely love!

I think any Disney restaurant that fully books up 3 months in advance is probably overrated (except maybe CRT, but then the draw is the special atmosphere you can find nowhere else, not the food)

Raglan Road
Le Cellier
Kona *dinner*
Coral Reef
Chef Mickeys *dinner*
1900 PF *any meals*

In my opinion LC. Don't get me wrong it's good but definately over rated .

We've eaten pretty much everywhere, so we have a few overrated restaurants:

Le Cellier
Cali Grill
Tutto Italia
'O Hana

Tiger

OHana-- meat was really fatty
Tutto Italia...Italian family here and I think we are just used to home made sauce

Now of course others love these places...I just didn't think they were memorable meals.

Does anyone think that thier opinion of a TS being overated has to do with where they live? Do those who live in Canada find Le Cellier overated because they have better Canadian steak houses locally?

I know they don't have a Cheese Steak place in WDW but if they did I would probably find it over-rated as I live in the Philly burbs and we can get a great cheese steak with a little drive.

Le Cellier I agree... most people.. (us included) tried to get a ressie there, and felt like we accomplished something when we got it, but didn't enjoy the meal.

On the other hand.... I think an under rated restaurant is San Angel Inn.... The best steak I ever had was there....

From our experience, I would have to say Crystal Palace (dinner) and Chef Mickey's (breakfast). I didn't enjoy the food at either, and I was not too impressed with several of the characters (some were good though :)). Plus, as I know I should expect, but both of these were a little too loud and crazy for me. ;)

This may be true. We thought the food at Tutto was just "okay" (I actually didn't care for my entree at all even though our waiter recommended it). We're used to eating fantastic local Italian food and Tutto didn't measure up. That said, on the dining plan, we'd go again because the overall experience was enjoyable. (It would not have been worth the $$$ out of pocket expense.) Nice atmosphere and good service though.

I liked "Ohana but I didn't have really high expectations. The food was good - some items better than others. We just went to have fun as a group - and we did.:thumbsup2 We'd go again.

Le Cellier
Prime Time Cafe
Kona
Artist Point
Liberty Tree Tavern

Everyone raves about these places but I have had multiple mediocre meals at each of them. I keep on thinking that they will improve and they don't!

I think O'Hana's is now over-rated. Never used to think that way until recently. I also agree with Le Cellier. Food was good but I would never pay that much for that food if not on the dining plan.

I agree with Coral Reef. The food was not anything memorable and the service was HORRIBLE. The aquarium couldn't make up for the worst meal in 2 Disney trips. (17 days total on the DDP)
