Overpriced balloons?

I also wanted to buy a balloon for my 3 YO when we went in April. She loves balloons it would of so been worth the $10, even without being able to take it home. But I didn't have cash on me that first night at MK. They are cash only, and they only sell them at MK and HS. Not Epcot or AK. Just something to keep in mind.

I will be prepared to buy her a balloon come this September at DLR. That first night in Disneyland she will get her balloon. It will bring her so much joy!

I have never heard if light up balloons! Someone tell me more! Are they sold in they say or only at night?

FWIW, I just bought some balloons for DS4's birthday, and his Avenger's balloon cost $9.99 at Party City. It's big, but still. The other mylar balloons (spiderman & avengers) are the typical round size and cost $3 each.

So, I don't see $10 being overpriced.

And if your balloon deflates during your stay supposedly they replace it with a new one for free!

I love how Disney replaces a full Mickey bar when you drop the last bite off your stick. I love how a crying toddler results in a heard of CMs coming to the rescue, I lvoe Disney but if ONE more CM attempts to replace my poped ballon I'll scream

We had 3 kids, 3 balloons (expensive? yes, overpriced? no) but when you're pushing a buggy, with 2 kids sitting, and one running wild the LAST thing you want is a balloon whipping you int he face. When you're trying to squeeze a cadillac of buggies into a space half it's size, the LAST thing you want is a balloon to hook onto the balloon string of a buggy going the opposite direction stopping you in your tracks! Yep those balloons popped.

*we didn't actually pop our children's balloons - we bought the ones with the MIckey head inside the regular balloon (a balloon within a balloon), but when they inner balloons popped we certainly didn't run out to find a new one. We were there for 8 days and the balloons (mostly) lasted the length of the stay - and remained in the room when we left.*

It was the Tinkerbell Nylar that had a light up thing in it. It flashed all different colors. We bought them on Main Street in MK at night, but, when we brought the broken one to be replaced the balloon person had them there during the day too.

We bought 2 and they were awesome!!

My kids begged for one but we didn't get one. We did get them whatever they wanted the last day. Those balloons are huge and I couldn't see bringing home 4 of them. We traveled over 30 hrs in the car. Those things would have driven me nuts lol! I think we may cave next trip though.
