Overpaying Room???

Hi,

I had paid off our room for WL and then got a discount. Can I use the excess toward room charges or another reservation? (we are staying on a split reservation)

When I had our room paid off, but then got a discount, I had to cancel my ressie and rebook with the discount. It took a week or so for the credit to go through.

I don't think you can use the overpaid amount as a prepaid charge though. Too bad, because that would have been a lot easier for me

Yes, you can leave the difference right where it is. You don't have to cancel anything, etc. The final 'bill' isn't due until checkout, and the overage will be credited towards the room charges.

We had this happen for our recent trip. We originally had WL and Poly but changed it to WL and POFQ instead. We had a $400+ credit that we said we wanted to put on the room charge instead.

Long story short (some mix-up in the credits) we ended up with the full amount on the charge. So... it can be done. However you need to note it with CRO and with the front desk when you check in! It was a bit of a hassle to get things all done right.
