overlapping reservation?

We were originally booked off site and booked one night at cbr with our park tickets attached for fp+ privileges and to explore the resort for a day and maybe use the too for napping.
We have since booked a campsite at fort wilderness and will now be staying on site, but I would like to keep our original reservation at cbr as well because a) we would still like to explore the resort and b) it would cost us a decent chunk more to just add the tickets to our current reservation (yes, including the too for the night). The cbr reservation is for Sunday night with six day tickets, we are staying Saturday to saturday at the fort.
Will having overlapping reservations cause an issue? I don't want our reservation with tickets attached cancelled. I would prefer to hear from someone who has done it, thank you!

My understanding is that it wont be a problem if you book with different lead guests. So, for example, if you are the lead guest on the CBR room, make another adult in your party lead on the campsite booking. We are doing a split stay and the CM recommended I am lead on one booking and my husband is lead on the other so there is no confusion or cancellation.

How do you know who is the lead? The first one on the reservation? And if you have different leads, do they have to go under different MDE?
