Just got back...first of all let me tell you I'm ill. No, not from the movie, I have discovered (and this time confirmed it) I can not eat movie popcorn w/ butter. The popcorn itself I can, just not their butter. The last 3 movies we have gone to, I've ended up not feeling well around 2 hours later. But anyway...

I loved this movie!! It was so funny. I heard more laughter from adults then kids, but I didn't really find too much of it geared towards adults, it was a good mixture of humor for kids and adults alike.

I took DS10 and his best friend. I asked them after if they liked it, I got one "It was ok" and a "I liked the funny parts". :confused3

I think it's worth seeing.

They showed previews for another one I want to see "Flushed Away" I believe it was called.

We just got home as well from seeing this. We all really enjoyed it! They had the Flushed Away preview before ours as well but they also had one of the grossest previews I have ever seen. It was for How to Eat Fried Worms. It was absolutely disgusting!

Over the Hedge gets 3 thumbs up from our family :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

BTW, I agree with you about the popcorn. My son ate 9/10ths of one of those big buckets - he is going to be sooooooooo sick!

lol-they showed the Fried worms too before our showing too. I told son and friend, don't think I'll be watching that one. Looks funny, but don't think I could sit anywhere but home to watch it. And especially can't risk any popcorn sickness in the theater. :lmao:

Thanks for the review! My son has been bugging me to take him to this since we first saw the review months ago!

Our family saw it and loved it. The 3 year old said afterwards that the bear and the exterminator guy were scary, but he was glued to the screen during the whole movie. There is some great humor about life in the suburbs. The animation and action is great. I definitely recommend it.

I also was totally grossed out by the How to Eat Fried Worms preview. My 3 year old thought the new Barnyard movie looked good, but I'm not so sure. I am looking forward to Cars in a few weeks.

I just want to see the cows do their "Boy tipping" in Barnyard........toomany good looking movies coming out this summer, going to effect my Disney vaca fund. :teeth:

I saw it...fun movie....not a Pixar movie, but some good fun. Liked it better than Madagascar and the Wild....Some funny jokes, a couple of laugh out loud moments..BEAUTIFUL animation and some good voice acting....check it out if the whim hits you!

Cheers,
Jungle Josh
