Over the Counter Motion Sickness Medication

It's usually the motion simulator rides that get me. I get very nauseated.

For our most recent trip at Thanksgiving, I bought Less Drowsy Bonine and Motion Eaze.

The Bonine did not make me drowsy at all. And my daughter took it for the long car ride to WDW. As for the Motion Eaze....it was an oil that you dab behind the ears. My DD used that for some rides and said she thought it helped.

Good luck!

Try Sea Bands as well. Check the pharmacy section or on-line. They're wristbands that work on accupressure - so no meds! I get terribly sea sick and actually worked on a very small cruise ship. I loved my sea bands! They also helped with car sickness and ride sickness. (Though I still make DH do the teacups with the kids while I look away. I don't want to chance that one!)

I have tried the sea bands and I don't think they really work.

One thing I would advise if you take draminine or bonine. Take it at night before you go to bed. That way you are less drowzy during the next day. I took the one of these pills and I was like a zombie that day.

Dramamine II (the "less drowsy" version) is actually also "meclizine" (like the Bonine). I have had good success taking only half of one as another poster has suggested.
Good luck:wizard:
