I'm shopping for a new oven, I do want just a single but not sure whether it should be traditional or convection. :confused3

What are the must haves in an oven?

I'm looking at GE electric built in, if you'd like to recommend one of them that would be great.

GE Ovens

TIA

I have this one and I LOVE it. Things don't burn with a convection oven!

I had the Jenn-Air convection oven. It was a single oven, not a double. I bought it off Ebay for under $500 including shipping, complete with a warranty.

The Sears Outlet is 50% off right now so I can get it pretty cheap. I bought a cooktop over the weekend but wasn't sure about the oven quite yet.

Convection ovens are great. I love ours but DW is scared to use the convection mode. Our oven has the option to cook with convection or traditionally, so DW uses the regular while I use the convection. I find that the convection cooks more evenly because a fan evenly distributes the hot air in the oven around the food being cooked. I would check to be sure that the oven has the option of regular baking in case you do not like the convection feature. Good luck. Jay

We bought a new oven a few years ago. I am so sorry that I didn't buy a convection oven. I would buy one today in a heartbeat. Since my in-laws got one, there turkey is never dry :)!!
