Outstanding non-Disney Restaurant

Does anybody know of any good restaurants in the Disney/Universal area? I am looking for high quality good food. Think along the lines of Victoria and Albert's etc...

You may want to check the Chowhound board for some suggestions. I don't know about V&A-standard since I haven't been there, but Ravenous Pig in Winter Park was excellent when I was there a couple of years ago.

Old Hickory steakhouse at the Gaylord Palms hotel is our very favorite...excellent. Also Christini's in Doctor Philips is excellent also.

Victoria and Albert's is the only AAA five star restaurant in Orlando, so finding something comparable would be difficult. Orlando Life magazine has a good restaurant reviewer. The Chefs Table in Winter Garden is supposed to be pretty good, although I have not had a chance to try it yet.

As I was trying to say before new phone lost it, we really enjoyed Hemingway's at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The food and service were outstanding.

The Ravenous Pig and Luma on Park tend to get rave reviews, but they are both in Winter Park which is a bit of a drive from Disney.

The famed "restaurant row" on Sand Lake is very close to Universal and about 10 minutes from Disney, but I don't think anything is Victoria and Albert's standards. Seasons 52 has been a local favorite for years, and Chatham's Place, Christini's, and Morton's are in that area too.
