Outside vendors for golf carts?

OK- everyone who has the inside scoop on this- please respond! Now we are getting into the serious planning stages! We've got the site booked for 2 weeks, hopefully in the Big Bear Loop once again. We've got the camper booked with Florida Camper Rentals - it looks beautiful and even though we'll miss the rolling turd, I think we'll adapt just fine We've convinced Joe's brother and sister in law, along with their 4 kids, that the Fort is the ONLY way to go, and they have also booked a premium site (hopefully close to us) and a camper for a week.

Now we need to know- are outside vendor golf carts allowed at Disney if we bring them in? Because Joe will have his semi truck/trailer down there, and he could bring them in with him. We'd love to have one for the 2 weeks, just because it makes those late nights a lot easier for everyone, but I really don't think Disney's prices are affordable for us. Especially since there are 6 in our family, and 6 in his brothers family, so the 4 seaters don't really help unless we get 2 of them for each family.

So before we make any decisions, I need to know if it would be allowed if we would bring them in ourselves. And if so, what are the best companies to contact? We are looking at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. (T-time is not an option to us- we've used him both of our previous trips, and had very bad experiences both times.) 1) Anyone can bring in an approved golf cart (no ATV's, souped-up editions, etc).
2) But, the guest must bring it in, not a rental company.
. . . this is why rental companes make you go off-site to ge the cart
. . . you get the cart from the company and tow it into The Fort
. . . then., you return the trailer to the renatal company
3) Thus, in your case, you can bring in your own cart(s).
