Outside Photographers

Hi Ladies,

I am a bit worried about using Disney Photographers since I have heard some horror stories...

I would like to use an outdoor vendor but I really can't spend a lot.

Can you ladies help me with some names and maybe sample photos, I am planning something small and would only need the photographer for a couple hours.

we had misty miotto and booked the cd only package as wanted the rights to the pics to print ourselves.

We loved her and will be doing another shoot when we go back this year, you should have a look at her site

We had Randy Chapman (www.chapmanphotography.com). He is great at customizing smaller packages to fit exactly what you need and at a great price!!

I'm in a similar boat, I'd feel more comfortable with either Randy or Misty doing our photos after hearing some of the horror stories about DPS. However I just don't think we can justify the added cost in our already tight budget. That and my mom is already having trouble being comfortable with what we're paying for the wedding itself. I've already talked up how wonderful it all is and how it's worth the cost, if she heard we were thinking of spending more for an outside photographer because DPS screws up people's photos, I can see her flipping out. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here

I found Misty and Randy to be less then WDW photo... check out the prices on there websites. I am savign about 2K by going with Misty

But then since we are having our reception in LSS (and DP after), we HAVE to use disney photo.... We are trying to justify the cost of the 2 different photographers.

I'm using someone named Kathy. She is doing a fantastic job working with us. We were able to get a low cost cd only package because we are on a super tight budget. Email her at barefootchildrenphotography@yahoo.com she even did a complimentary "through the years" slideshow of my fiance and I growing up and dating.

I'm with you. I really want to do the portrait session at EPCOT but that requires using DPS. We were going to have DPS do all the photos (including the EPCOT session) and buy the photo CD so we'd have the rights to all the photos. I honestly don't think we can afford to pay for an outside photographer, plus the EPCOT session, plus the photo CD.

The Roots! I (heart) the roots. They are a newelywed couple and from what I heard, are fantastic to work with. Plus check out thier work. It's amazing. I've facebooked them and they are really sweet. I can't wait to meet them.
