has anyone ever used the outlet store in Orlando to purchase Disney Stuff?
I want my kids to get the most for their money. Is it worth the trip across to to go.
leaving in 12 days thanksprincess: :cool2: :cool2:

We stopped at the outlet mall on our way out of town this last trip. We stumbled upon them when my DH wanted to stop at a shoe outlet. They had a ton of stuff. T-shirts, tanks, shorts, Knick-knack stuff. The prices were really good. We bought 2 t-shirts for the girls and they have held up really well.
I think it is worth a stop and see. Nothing to lose.
Have a great trip.

Don't forget to check out the store at DTD where everything is under $10 - last year I got Disney mugs, Christmas ornaments and Disney beanies for 4/$10 ($2.50 each) - they had two different specials during the two weeks we were there - got a Tinkerbell t-shirt for $5.00 for myself too! It's right next to Pooh corner.

The outlet can't be beat for prices! I often times find things I can't find at the parks there!

Were is the outlet store in Orlando? I know we have one in St. Augustin(sp)

Can someone kindly point me in the direction of this outlet store? First trip and we are trying to make the most out of our budget.

TIA,

This isn't a outlet but the Walmart at marker 15 on Irlo Bronson has a big disney section right at the entrance and we buy all our stuff here and it is 1/2 the cost at disney. We buy thick nice towels for $9.00 and the same ones are at disney for $20.00. We get t-shirts there and mugs and placemats and pins. Same at disney but 1/2 the cost. The tags even say disney on them like the ones at disney. This saves us tons of $ when we head here first before heading to the resort.:cloud9: :cloud9:

The outlets that I think you are referring to are the Prime Outlets on International Drive in Orlando. The store you'll want is called Character Connection (I believe) and I have found some awesome Disney buys there. Hope this helps and happy hunting! :thumbsup2

Wow!!! I didn't know that about Wal-Mart!!! My In-Laws are Wal-Mart freaks just as bad as Disney freaks!!! I'll have to let them know that!! We went to one last year but I'm not sure what one it was. I know it was off of the expressway or whatever that road was called. I know that it was probably about a 10 min drive from there too. I don't remember seeing anything but this time I'll have to keep my eyes and ears open!!!!!! Thanks Disneyof3!!;)

I have read that there is a beltz out let there also, I have visited the web site, and they too have a disney store. We have a walmart at home just not the same atmosphere, but at the outlet there is a store owned by disney. Thanks so much

Here is some info from www.mousesavers.com

Disney Outlet Stores Close to Disney World

You can get great deals on Walt Disney World theme park merchandise at nearby Disney outlet stores:

Disney's Character Premier stores are located at the Orlando Premium Outlets and Prime Outlets Orlando, Mall 1 (formerly Belz Factory Outlet World).
Character Corner store can be found at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores (be sure to check out the printable coupons on the site).
For Walt Disney World souvenirs such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and mugs (and sometimes more exotic stuff), you can't beat the prices at the outlets. Sometimes you will even find current merchandise that is still be offered in the parks, at up to 50% off.
In general, to get to the outlet centers you will need a rental car or else you'll have to take a cab. However, many non-Disney hotels offer free shuttles to Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores where Character Corner is located - click on the link to see the schedule.

I believe the Character Premier stores are operated by Disney (the staff wears Disney badges and the stores sell Disney passes), while the Character Corner seems to be independently operated.

I personally think the best selection and most convenient location are combined at the Character Premier outlet in Orlando Premium Outlets, which is a very short drive from Disney property. It is a nicely decorated store with good service. Be aware that some of the merchandise here is offered at full price, though most of it is marked down significantly. This store will allow returns and exchanges. The Orlando Premium Outlets center is also very large and has many upscale factory outlet stores in addition to the Character Premier outlet. If you like to shop, I think this is one of the best outlet centers anywhere in the US for high-end clothing labels (DKNY, Jones New York, Calvin Klein, Hilfiger, Versace, Fendi, etc.). The Character Premier store is right in the middle of the center.

By comparison, the Character Corner at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is a bit shabby and has a much smaller selection of merchandise than the Character Premier store. You can find some worthwhile deals here, but I have not seen much at this Character Corner that wasn't also at the Character Premier store, usually at an identical price. This store also has some non-Disney merchandise and occasionally lower-end Disney merchandise that is not "resort exclusive." Be sure to look for tags that say Walt Disney World -- that's the good stuff. The Character Corner allows exchanges but not refunds. The other shops in this center are much more limited than at Orlando Premium Outlets.

I have not visited the Character Premier outlet store at Prime Outlets Orlando. That center is the furthest from Disney. I've read mixed reports on the deals available there, though the store is supposed to be quite nice.
