I didn't see that anyone else has started a thread for Season 6, so here it is.

Droughtlander is over!

I watched the first episode on the Starz service when I woke up yesterday. I have read every book and the series does a good job tying the books to the show, IMO. I can see why they change the things that they do.

I thought that the way that they did the recap of previous seasons was very well done since they incorporated it into the body of the show and you didn't realize that it was a recap until you thought about it, even though you expected one. At least that was my opinion on it.

I can't wait for more!

I am an avid Outlander too! Watched the episode yesterday with my DH and thought it did a really good job of setting up the various stories for the season. The only thing I said what?? about was the scenes of Claire using the ether. I suspect it is to stop the nightmares, but I don't think that is something Claire would do.

I hadn't thought about that. Definitely not something Clair would do. She is all about the science and testing on others in a controlled setting.

I'm looking forward to seeing the inventions that Bri may concoct this season.

Drought-lander is OVER!!! I watched at 12:01am on 3.6 🥰

It seems like it's decent? It's been going on for so long I always wonder if it will stay enjoyable. Being a man I miss the scottish days of war and more BA characters (and even Black Jack). But I still still watch it with my wife as she loves it.

Read the books….still very enjoyable for me. I’m hoping they will be able to see it to the end. Think Diana Gabaldon has one more book to write in this series.

Tensions are just building toward the Revolution. There is always conflict and battle in Diana's writing. It keeps it interesting for me, too. I'm a woman who loves war movies. If it was just a love story, it wouldn't be as interesting and the conflicts would be boring, IMO.

Jamie says so much with his eyes. In the books, the tension with Roger inviting Tom Christie to the Ridge plays out over a longer period of time than hours, yet Jamie's facial expressions tell the story very well in the series.

I watched the first episode and got busy. Going to try to catch up tonight. Are we enjoying this season?

I didn't see this thread before now. I am enjoying this season so much. I do agree about Claire and the Ether, that is definitely out of character for her. The book did handle the Tom Christie and family tension much better in my opinion, but I agree the expressions on Jamie's face say it all. I was really glad to see them explain Ian's departure from the Mohawk and why he was so haunted. The actress playing Malva really captured the evil in that character. Can't wait til tomorrow for Episode 5. On the plus side I got my husband to watch the new episodes with me and like them.

Yikes. I haven't gotten that far yet. She's up to no good, huh?

I won't reveal to much except to say she is portraying the character very well. If you have read the book the book you know how she is written. This actress captured that evil essence very well.

We are behind, waiting for everyone to be present before we start the season. Maybe this weekend. Sounds good.

I've already watched each new episode at least 3 times each. I don't think I could have waited this long.

I am watching, love the show and characters but I'll admit I'm a little bored with this season. Overall, I think (even in the books), the North Carolina storyline just doesn't excite me.

No, I need off the damn Ridge.

But then again I have been saying that since they got there.

And I need that sexy sexy man to come back from the dead (Season one man, so not dropping a spoiler, just longing for him - laughing)

Great casting.

I looked her up and she doesn't have a ton under her belt. So subtle and cagey, brilliant job.
