I was thinking about doing some vacationing in that neck of the woods, but heard today that the Outer Banks were torn up with some of the storms that came through this past year.

I haven't been able to find anything that shows that they or the hotels close by are in disrepair. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks

There was a 3-4 day storm with sustained winds that really ripped up that coast. There are not many hotels in the Outer Banks, mostly individual rentals or condos. I heard that Rodanthe really got hit and lots of homes in Mirlo were surrounded by water for a long time. I don't know about the northern beaches.

check out this link. It shows Hatteras-Mirlo and Buxton. Pretty impressive.
