Disneyland is one of our options for the Canadian March break (15-22). Are the outdoor pools open at the hotels and will it be warm enough to swim?

Any hotels within walking distance have indoor pools?

The pools are open year round. As far as I know all the hotels within walking distance have pools, I'm probably wrong but all the ones I've stayed at have had pools. As for being warm enough, that's entirely subjective, what is warm enough for you may not be for me. :)

We swim in the pools 12 months of the year. The pools are heated and us canuckie folk are a hardy lot lol. March will be really nice. The parks will be very busy though at that time so make sure you read Hydroguys sticky at the top of the forum:goodvibes

My kids swim. Being from Phoenix area, I'm a wimp and the water has been too cold for me in March. However, the whirlpools are very nice that time of year.

The pools at the hotels in the area should all be open. As for swimming in them when it's not spring/summer, I've swam in the Hojo's pool and the Stovall's pool when it was rather cold (by California standards ). The Hojo's pool was heated but took a few minutes to get used to; the Stovall's pool was "warm bath water" temperature & I went swimming in it at night, last December. AFIAK, the indoor pool at Desert Inn (on Harbor) is the only indoor pool in the area.

Have fun on your trip!

I would say it is safe to say you will be swimming. We are also from Canada and when we went in Feb 2008 we swam all the time outside. We even went to the beach and swam in the ocean - with our 4 and 5 year olds. It was funny we actually had to go and buy shorts at walmart because it was so hot! BUT you could sure tell the locals we were in line one night in t-shirts and shorts and the women next to me was putting toques and mittens on her kids!!! :rotfl:

We went swimming daily at HoJo outside in mid-March last year. We started the days out in light coats and by afternoon it was warm enough to swim and be comfortable.

We're from northern Utah, so it was really nice then compared to our own weather!
