I used to teach and we sometimes did Rudolph races. I cut a red circle for each student, and divided the class into teams. The teams started at one end and the red circle "noses" were across the room. The students put vaseline on their noses, they ran to the noses (which were on a table) had to bend over and attach their "nose" without using their hands, and race back. It was fun, don't know if it would work as well if it was really windy outside though. In my 2nd grade class we often played bingo, too. I gave them a blank bingo chart and then they filled it in with Holiday words we had brainstormed earlier. Each student put the words wherever they wanted on the chart so all the cards were different. We used M&M's to cover the words, then ate them when we were finsished. It would be good to make sure any games you plan would work inside, too, in case of bad weather. We also did an eestimation jar. I found clear plastic Christmas tree containers at Wal-mart and filled it with candy. Then had them guess how many they thought were in the container. (I always showed them what 20 of the candy looked like and talked about a reasonable answer) The one closest to the number got to keep the jar!
