Out of the bubble

Heading to WDW in a couple of months and looking for restaurant recommendations that are out of the Disney bubble. We've been telling ourselves for years we're going to do this but never do. We don't really care for chain restaurants. We really try to find where the locals would go for great food.

Charley's Steakhouse. It's a local chain with just a few restaurants. There is one on 192 just southeast of WDW. Easily one of the top five steaks I've ever had.

Charley's is excellent - it's not really a chain restaurant, more like a popular local restaurant that expanded to two additional locations in central Florida. The parent company by the founder of Charley's has other restaurants now too - but only 3 Charley's locations - two in the Disney/Orlando area and one in Tampa. I've been to two of them, and they are definitely among the best steakhouses I've been to (and I live in an area that is stuffed with all the best-known steakhouses - Bourbon, Smith & Wollensky, Morton's, Capital Grille, New York Prime, Abe & Louie's, and a dozen non-chain spots with local and national celebrity chefs).
