I agree with a lot of what you said here. I have said some similar things to DH - so many rides feel same ole, same ole. The seats move and water splashes at you. Shrug.

That reminds of this:

I have a friend who hates getting wet on rides. For example, she loves Disney, but won't do Splash Mountain. (There was one time that she reluctantly rode the subs at DL thinking she'd be safe - it literally sprung a leak over her head. She was basically the only person who got wet.)

I went with her to Uni a couple years ago, and we rode Fast & Furious. At some point during the ride, a splash of water hit her. She looked at me wide-eyed: "WE'RE IN A CAR FLYING OVER A BRIDGE. WHAT WAS THE WATER FOR."
