We live in Oregon. 15 hour drive. Last year we had APs. We went 3 times, 5 days each. Stayed onsite 2 of those trips - once at DLH, once at GC.
For us though, if we do a 6 day trip, stay offsite but use the parking garage, and eat all our normal places (all the character meals, and lots of table service) then it's worth it for us to get APs for just that one trip alone. However of course we'd squeeze in another trip before they expired haha! Plus we buy Lego and lots of princess dresses while we're there so that discount helps too!
