Out of school question. Please help.

My opinion talk to the school to get the days excused (may require an educational project based on the vacation) and get assignments from the teacher to keep the student up to date!

Didn't know schools even gave that as an option. I think I will check into it at ours because even though we have decided to go in Oct. he will still miss 5 days.
