I have to tell you all our story. We were at MK last week. Friday was our last day of vacation. We had a late lunch at Columbia Harbor House and that was to be the end of our time in the parks. My ds (7) and dd (5) started crying because they didn't want to leave. Next thing I know a CM came over and asked why my kids were so sad. I tried to explain they were just sad that our vacation was over. The CM then pulls out a velvet pouch and told each kid to pick out a 'gem stone'. Then she told them this long elaborate story about how if they held this stone tightly, they would be in the happiest place on earth again. My kids ate it up and the tears stopped. I thought the CM was awesome, my kids were happy and we'd go back to our hotel a little happier. But there was more. The CM asked us if we had time for one more ride. Of course we said Yes. She took us over to It's A Small World where our kids got to be It's a Small World Crusie Directors. The CM took the kids up in the control booth and made an annoucement that my kids from Denver, CO are celebrating A Year of Million Dreams at Disney World. All of the people waiting in line for the ride were clapping and waving to my kids! My kids got to wave to all of the departing boats. Then, my family got to bypass the line and ride in the front row of the next departing boat. The kids also got a certificate saying that they had won the Cruise Director dream at It's a Small World in the Magic Kingdom. The CM was sooo awesome. I never expected our vacation to end like that. My kids loved it and haven't stopped talking about it!

Your story and what that CM did is just one, of the many, reasons I love WDW. Your Magical Moment wasn't huge and overly elaborate (compared to a night in the castle) but your kids will remember that and tell all of their friends and it made your kids forget the sadness of leaving. Kudos to the CM! And congrats on having such a great Magical Moment. :thumbsup2

CMs like that really add to the Disney Magic :wizard:

Glad your kids enjoyed being cruise directors :rotfl:

That was a really sweet story. I hope that these events don't go away when year of a millions dreams ends. It's a relatively low cost gift but makes the trip so memorable.
