Got home on Sunday night, totally wiped out. Today is Tuesday and I'm already thinking about going back  . The first three nights were at WL, CV room 6039. Lovely view of pool, geyser and Bay Lake. Rooms, however are a little small after staying at the CR, GF and later this trip at the Poly. Still manageable for a family of four provided you don't bring the kitchen sink, as we almost did:teeth: :teeth: . Maintenence brought up my fridge and I didn't see a charge on my statement. Small, but froze everything we put in it! Mousekeeping was okay, nothing special. Enjoyed fast bus service to AK on Wed and good boat service to MK on Th. There was a guy there, I think his name was Brian, may be a manager. Super nice. My girls had just started the pin trading thing. He offered then his lanyard for inspection. They were shy, he told them to each take a pin as a gift. They were ecstatic! Was advised by CR that since we had a split ressie we should call the Poly TH night and tell them we were coming over early Friday so we could get a room that was unoccupied on Th night. Yeah right. We did that, they almost laughed at me. We arrived over there around 11AM, no room available. Went to DTD, had lunch at Planet Hollywood, called a few times, no room. Returned to Poly around 2, no room. The Guys at guest services, Sean and TJ were great, don't get me wrong. They were trying to get me a great room, 3rd floor Samoa, volcano pool view. 3PM arrived (official check in) our room was the only one in the building not ready. By then Mark, the manager was involved at their request. Girls were being entertained by the ukelele lady, DH was collapsed on a bench in the lobby. Mark comes back and says, Mousekeeping wanted your room super special so they CLEANED THE CARPET! It was close to 4 when we finally got in the room, 3603. Lovely view of the pool, right across from the elevator. Quite noisy in the mornings though due to excited kids going to Ohana for character breakfast. No fridge. I didn't even push it, we had to get ready for the party and dinner at Ohana. Oh yeah, to compensate us for the room mess Mark had the check for Ohana taken care of. What a sweetheart ::yes:: . Dinner was a bit rushed by us, had to dress two princesses. We made it over to the park right before 7. The crowd was huge! Stingy with the candy, two pieces max per person. Walked on Pirates and Haunted Mansion, long line for Peter Pan so we rode Snow White. Buzz went down as we got to the front of the line. Walked around some, Toontown was a madhouse, attempted it, then passed. Got a great seat on a bench by the statue of Walt & Mickey for Cindy's Celebration and moved around the statue for the second parade after the fireworks. They were all great. Younger DD7 was Snow White, she had a curtsey and kiss from her namesake. DD9 was Esmerelda and got a high five from Pinnochio. Boat back to Poly at 11:45. Up Sat morning not too early for EPCOT and MGM. Huge crowd at WS that evening due to Food & Wine. Ate at 9 Dragons, thought it was quite good. No real dissapointments PS wise, Chef Mickeys seemed a bit lacking on variety or maybe I'm just a bit jaded from so many dinners out. Arrived at the Poly Sat night at 8:45PM, found the pool closed for sanitizing. Girls were bummed. Still roped off when we left on Sunday AM. Ate lunch at RFC at DTD on the way out of town. Now it's time for the laundry!

Thanks for a great report! Sure was nice of Mark to spring for dinner. Most people understand that sometimes things just go a little wrong, and it was thoughtful of him to sprinkle a little PD your way as an apology. Also, I've been reading other posts about the crowds during the weeknights at MNSSHP. I'm a little concerned because I've learned to stay away from the Friday parties. Sounds like the mid-week parties are becoming busier, too.

I like the part about thinking about going back. I'm already thinking about early December 2006.
