well after much hair pulling and panicking by me we got up on saturday to the rain washing away the snow
we set off at 9.30 and dropped off the kids at my friends house...she was looking after them till lunchtime then they were staying overnight at MIL's
the journey down the M1 was very slow there was an enormous amount of slush/water on the roads
we parked the car at stanford station (bargain cost of £2 for two days) and then got tube daily tickets (we were on and off the tube that much these seemed a bargain
we were staying at the holiday inn london bloomsburt and it was very near to russell square tube station. we checked in and got a room on the 3rd floor
we then got back on the tube and headed for covent garden to browse the shops
we had lunch at henry's bar (sandwiches and drinkies)
after that we decided to head for the V&A museum to see a kylie exhibition, unfortunatly it was sold out
so we headed for piccadilly circus to see how easy it was to find the prince of wales theatre
it was also right outside the tube station
we then headed back to the hotel for a rest and to get changed for the theatre.
after dh had watched the football scores and we had changed we headed back out.
we decided to stop and have a meal at TGI's before the show started...i had ribs and dh had a burger (we were still a bit full from lunch)
the show started at 7.30pm and it was fantastic, i loved how they weaved the abba songs into the storyline
and at the end everyone was dancing and singing
day two to follow
