Our Wedding Oct 2007 - Sunrise Terrace DWL

What a beautiful location! And I just love your gown, the color is exquisite on you. You both look so geniunely happy, it's wonderful.

I have no business on the wedding forum...this is all lurkyloo's fault...
:rotfl:

Hey, everyone is welcome here! :thumbsup2

Ha! As Lurkyloo says everyone is welcome, I'm glad you are all enjoying our pics :goodvibes
Oh and just so you know, we are still very happy and looking forward to our 1 year anniversary :thumbsup2

Beautiful! Love Sunset pointe! It was actually our first choice, our first wdw trip we stayed at WL and loved it:lovestruc but we just couldnt get the numbers down

Looking forward to more!

More on its way, had a hecktic week so not much time to add more:faint:

As I said before I'm sure Disney could squeeze in a couple more seats :confused3

Yay! I love the pictures! ST was our first choice, but our families were not having it :rotfl: You were soooo beautiful.

Awww, thanks so much. I'm sorry to hear ST wasn't popular for your families, you have to try and please everyone though and compromise. I think trying to please people is the hardest part of planning :thumbsup2

Thats why I'm here too! :rotfl2:

Becx N Gav; your photos are wonderful. I never would have thought of that location for a wedding! Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

Thank you :) I was reading someone elses trip report where they saw the balcony (not in use) and wondered what it was for :confused3 :goodvibes
To be honest when it's not in use it looks pretty ordinary (apart from the view)

I couldn't seem to get my feet in the right place for this one  my shoes were rubbing and with the slope of the bridge it was a bit tricky staying standing, I tried my best though

Some outside, the grounds are so beautiful, I don't think anywhere in the UK would compare :snooty:

1554603205_96796c40fd.jpg

These two were the only ‘arty’ poses we did, as I've said I didn't have any ideas for poses or anything so I just did what they said  I think I would have been a bit overwhelmed thinking about all that too, I just trusted their judgement.

1555483690_074f562244.jpg

The balcony behind us, I think I'm squinting from the sun, couldn't help myself

1554616087_499b945dc0.jpg

There were some close ups of this pose too but the sun was right in our eyes and we looked so squinty :(

1554628509_8c15edd13b.jpg

We were asked by Stan to walk over the bridge pretend we were talking and stop and kiss half way, however on the first take Gav forgot and looked straight at the camera :rotfl: He did much better second time round :lmao:

Here’s a few more pics from inside, I can tell you I was so glad we went back in! Air con. is a God send when in Florida.

A close up of our hands. My heart shaped engagement ring kind of hides the Wedding band :rolleyes1

1555522242_53c73e6a3e.jpg

Here is my bouquet ( I was so sad to have to leave it behind but what else can you do with it?)

1555536946_bc57e2266e.jpg

And Gav’s button hole (can’t spell the French word for it)

1555534342_635ff11316.jpg

My necklace, I also had a matching bracelet (again I went for something I could wear again without looking like I was a bride again!):bride:

Back to the beginning these are some ‘getting ready’ shots, I’ve taken them from video footage we took (which is why I haven’t posted for a few days, it takes sooooo long to find the perfect frame and I get distracted watching it all over again). Sorry if the quality isn't so good, I must remember to take more photos than footage :rolleyes2

We decorated our table in the villa with Just Married confetti :lovestruc

Next up what we did after the ceremony.......

Congratulations and what beautiful pictures. ST is a lovely location and we almost had our wedding there but went for SBP instead.

Thank you so much for posting your pictures! You both looked so wonderful and so happy and in love! Your gown was gorgeous and especially in that setting. The bouquet was PERFECT for the feel of your ceremony and location. THank you for sharing! :goodvibes Can't wait to see more!

Was that a standard Escape bouquet, or did you ask for something different? I really love the orange flowers! And your necklace is sure purdy.... :cutie:

We spent a little time back in our villa (we had a morning wedding) first thing I did was change into my crocs :rotfl2: my feet were killing me, it was a lot more crowded with everyone there but it was a nice opportunity to catch up with my lil bro who moved to California a few years ago (with his fiancé – now wife) :goodvibes

We watched some clips from our laptop including a segment from ‘Extras’ (a british TV show with Ricky Gervais who is also in the british version of The Office) where David Bowie takes the pee out of the main character, I urge everyone to see it!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jv6mEv_rDdE
hope that works!

We both love Bowie (me, Gav my bro and his wife) so we were just peeing ourselves despite having seen it over and over.

Our ‘Wedding meal’ was also in the Wilderness Lodge – it saved having people going here there and everywhere also my Dad was able to leave his rental car there all day!

In 2006 when we went to have a look around WL we asked the bus driver the best place to have lunch, he recommended the Whispering Canyon Café so we tried it out not knowing what to expect!

We had such a great time there (and when we told our server we would be getting married at the resort in 2007 we got a glass of champagne each and they asked us to stand up while everyone toasted us ) so it was decided we would subject our guests to the madness that is WCC.

2564642645_1f58d6ceb8.jpg

Of course Gav and I went for the supersized Margaritas (Dad was paying – cherching!) they were gooooood.

2564642999_af36c85bcd.jpg

Everyone had the ‘all you care to enjoy’ pile of food, I even tried the ribs (usually I don’t like picking at meat and eating around the fat) and I totally loved them :lovestruc
We got champagne again and had to get up and dance which was fun (we had to expect it)

After the meal everyone headed back to the villa to get changed and then we headed off to MNSSHP, we were so happy when they realeased the dates and we saw it would be on the evening of the Wedding :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thank you very much:) I get the feeling ST may be booked for a few vow renewals in future :thumbsup2 I love the fact it is quite a little know location, I would like to know the percentage of Brides that choose it.

Beautiful pics!!

Thanks ;) We were so pleased with the way they turned out, it was such a good package compared to what it would have cost us in the UK. For example we looked at registering our marriage in our home town and it would cost £34 (about $70) to 'deposit' our Wedding documents. If we had gotten our marriage licence in the UK it costs about $80 then $7 for the certificate and another $14 after that (each) for copies! We got 8 copies for $20 ($2.50 each) in Florida - not that we needed them all:mad:

I'm so glad I decided to post, at some point I'll do a full trip report of our 2 week vacation/honeymoon.
I loved the way all my choices seemed to work together, I was very happy with the dress colour and how well it went with the bouquet:goodvibes
And of course it was the location that made it, it felt so unique which is what I was going for :thumbsup2

Was that a standard Escape bouquet, or did you ask for something different? I really love the orange flowers! And your necklace is sure purdy.... :cutie:

I went for the standard cascade bouquet, I chose the colours I wanted and they sent me a list of which flowers were available in each colour. I wasn't sure about the amount of each colour to go for ( I think I could have had more coloured roses but thought a splash of colour would be enough). I just can't get over how heavy it was ( and I'm fairly strong ) maybe it was the way I had to hold it :confused3
I was so chuffed with the necklace and bracelet, it's glittery but not too OTT.

So down to the boat dock and we didn't have to wait long:thumbsup2

We made our way over to MK, this was most of ours guests first time to WDW and so first park.

As we were entering and looking around the top of Main Street they started the flag lowering ceremony, it was so cool to watch (in our previous 2 trips we hadn't seen it). I love the way Americans are so patriotic, you just don't get that in this country (I don't think we've much to be patriotic about!)

I wonder where they are heading?

2564644011_b6e9d70a05.jpg

Next up to Splash Mountain! On the way we spotted this little fella, all ready for the Halloween Party :goodvibes

2564803255_ab20dfcd09.jpg

Oi! Where do you think you're off to?
Spot the Groom :confused3

2565626264_33919018e4.jpg

When we got there there was six of us going to ride however a very kind lady saw us and gave us five unwanted fastpasses:cool1:
I was quite happy to give up my seat! and thought I could stake out a prime location to catch the drop on my video camera :thumbsup2

2565466838_d5c03f6bba.jpg

I spotted them easily on the lower bit, awwww, good hubby, he's waving :lovestruc

2564643219_70726b8309.jpg

For some reason it took ages for them to come around (when they got off they said they had stopped for a while!) I couldn't see a thing on the viewfinder of the camera as the sun was directly in front of me gradually setting behind the mountain. I ended up filming about four or five boats hoping one would be them :rotfl: Eventually they popped out and down that slippery doo dah slope:scared1:

2565465934_6ffab1148c.jpg

After that we talked to the 'oldies' and they wanted a slower pace so we decided to split up so we could bomb around and do as much as possible!

As BTMRR was closed for rennovation we went to HM. For some reason one of Gavs sisters thought a CM inside HM was a bit sacry :confused3

2564803317_34a6e17f09.jpg

Up to Fantasy Land, we went on Cindys Carrousel, Mickeys Philharmagic, Peter Pans Flight and Snow White. Then to Tomorrowland, everyone wanted to do SM so I went on for one ride (previously I'd done the one in Paris so was expecting it to be scarier, I just didn't like getting thrown around and didn't feel safe) then retreated to the smoking area :lmao:
After that we got spat and burped on by the loveable alien ;)

Then Adventureland to see everyones fave pirate! We just had time to get back to the hub area before the fireworks (I just love the Halloween song)

This one didn't come out so well, but it's from my fave bit of Hallowishes

2565626118_10b98cf400.jpg

We had agreed to meet everone back near the train station. We all said our good byes and finally I had time to do me some shopping :cool1: :thumbsup2

2565466952_cfebe9a927.jpg

I got a witch Tink, some pins and a Tink t-shirt (all Halloween theme)

Then we decided to grab a hotdog before heading back to the hotel.

Some more pics on the way out

2565466278_be5ac5912a.jpg

And we spotted the Photopass peeps just in front of the train station. When I got home to the UK I was frantically searching for all our photopass cards (we had three or four by the end) and couldn't think where I last saw them! I was getting so upset and throwing bits everywhere - those cards are perfect for loosing :( They turned out to be in Gavs laptop bag, neatly in one of the organiser pockets - huge reflief :rolleyes1

Awww so sweet of you to compare me to someone like that:goodvibes

I think her ears are a bit bigger than mine? and I certainly don't have her figure :rotfl: I was maybe close at the time but I've eaten since then :lmao:

October is a great time to go, still a bit hot but not as bad as summer, plus there's loads of extras - food and wine :thumbsup2 - and all the holiday decorations. I was so pleased with my bouquet, I think Disney do a fab job in all areas. It was definately beyond my expectations :cool1:

I hope you guys have a wonderful time in October:goodvibes

Thanks :) I don't usually look that girly, but i thought I should make an effort for the Wedding:lmao:
I purposely didn't post the 'giraffe' immitation pic;)

I haven't seen all the Extras episodes but the ones I have seen are so funny, they always get some great people for cameo roles.

I really do hope you get a DFTW it was a dream come true, or if not you could always get married at home and get a vow renewal at WDW- there's something for everyone:thumbsup2

I loved looking at your pictures and reading your story! Thank you for sharing! You were a stunning bride and you look so at peace. :) Congratulations!

Thankyou so much ;) I'm glad I finally got around to posting, it has inspired me to do more trip reports, hope my fingers can take it:rotfl2:
I was so happy with the whole thing, I wanted more than anything to have some lovely photos and as I said Disney did a fab job for us. I'm pleased to say we are both still very happy and full of Disney magic pixiedust:
