First off I want to thank all who answered any questions I had!
We left early Monday morning (the 6th) got to Pop Century around noon. Check in was a breeze, there was no line at all. We went straight to our room, we requested 70s section/lakeview. We then went to the food court and ate, it was so nice, we ate outside and our son got a kick out of the birds that were begging us for food.
Anyway, we went back to our room afterwards and shortly after our bags came! We walked around the resort a bit before heading off to Downtown Disney. I was confused because I was under the impression that every section of the resort had their own pool. Well the 70s section doesn't. After discovering this, we went and spent a few hours in Downtown Disney. A lot of shops! We forgot to pack sunglasses for my son and myself so we had to buy us a pair. Anyway, that night was a bit chilly but we wanted to take advantage of the pool, so we froze, but it was fun. Tuesday we went to Magic Kingdom, which come to find out is our favorite park! Waiting for a bus took no time at all. We pretty much did every attraction we could. My son was a bit scared of the rides at first (Peterpan, Snow White, etc) but he quickly got used to them and kept repeating "Ride ride ride"
We ate at Cosmic Rays for lunch, it was pretty good, then at at Columbia Harbour House for dinner which was also good. We watched the fireworks at night which were spectacular! Next day was Animal Kingdom. First thing we did was head for the safari ride... which was very cool! These 2 white Rhinos were fighting right next to the vehicle we were in! It was awesome! We tried doing everything here as well and this day was when we started using the fastpasses..... which are awesome. Luckily our son fell asleep in his stroller so it gave DH and I a chance to take turn riding the bigger rides. My son loved the Boneyard! We ate at Pizzafari for lunch which was good and ate dinner at the resort. The Festival of the Lion King was really cool... waiting sucked though. Next day we went to MGM. First thing we did was Voyage of the Little Mermaid which was ok, then Playhouse Disney which surprisingly our son didn't behave well, I think because there's no seats so you have to sit on the floor. The Tower of Terror is definately not as bad as I expected, I was kind of disappointed. Beauty and the Beast was a very nice show. The Millionaire game was cool! Fantasmic was AWESOME! I video taped the whole show.
The waiting for that also sucked. We ate lunch at the ABC Commissary which was good. Next day we went to Epcot, I honestly wasn't too impressed. Soarin was pretty cool and probably my favorite attraction there. Honey I Shrunk the Audience was pretty cool. The World Showcase was interesting. I'm thinking I didn't enjoy it as much because our son was a bit cranky.... luckily this was another day he fell asleep in his stroller.
We ate lunch at Sunshine Seasons which was good. We didn't stay and watch Illuminations unfortunately because of our son and we were so tired. The next day we did a make-up day with things we missed at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Which was somewhat of a waste because at MK I waited in line for an hour and a half for Splash Mountain, and it was totally not worth it, lol. Also since it was Saturday... both parks were sooooooo crowded, which I expected. That night we spent a lot of the time at the pool, our son LOVED the kiddie jetpool. We couldn't get him away from it!
The next morning we flew home. Ok, here's my complaints, lol..... I know now to never bring a 2 year old on a big vacation like this. He was like a totally different kid then he is at home and his behavior has continued since we've been home. I think the main problem was his lack of sleep and being in a different place. Although he did take a nap in his stroller 2 of the days, it didn't help much. We somewhat regret bringing him and wished we would've waited until he was much older. We feel we missed out on a lot and didn't get to see everything. But all in all we had fun and that's what matters. I really have no other complaints.... the resort is nice, the parks are very nice, we didn't have to wait long for buses at all. The lines for the attractions were a bit long but that was expected. Also, we discovered you can only have 1 fastpass at a time. The food at the resort could've had more variety, we kind of got tired of the same food every day. Their pizza was very good, we got it 2 nights, lol. Also the bridge at the resort that leads across the lake to a little island was very nice. We went there at night and we were always by ourselves so it was very relaxing. Anyway.... I'm sorry this is so long, just wanted to share our experience.
