Our WDW surprise is working out GREAT!!!

For those of you who don't know, we have kept our upcoming WDW trip a secret and we're going to surprise the kids. (We're leaving Friday after work and will arrive Saturday morning.) We were talking about going, but then there were no DVC rooms. But the kids don't know that I booked a room at All Star Music. It's going to be a whirlwind trip, only 3 nights, and a lot of driving. We won't really have time for any DIS-CON meets, but I'm sure we'll run into some DISers while we're there.

Anyway, as soon as I booked All Stars, Gene and I started playing that we couldn't get a room. Every couple of days he asks me if I called back for a room and then I pretend to get mad at him for bringing it up that we can't go. The kids are totally fooled.

On top of that, Gene has been scheming with the kids. He has them thinking that they are going to surprise me with a weekend getaway to Savannah, since we couldn't go to WDW. They're going to tell me Thursday night that we're leaving the next day. (Gene and I figure that will cover them not asking questions about packing and making arrangements for the animals. )

Their plan is to tell me that we're going to Baltimore. Then, when we get there, they're going to say.... Surprise! We're really going to Washington, D.C. When we get to Washington, they're going to say... Surprise! We're really going to Williamsburg. When we get to Williamsburg, they're going to say.... Surprise! We're really going to Savannah.

Then when we get to Savannah, I'm going to say.... Surprise! We're really going to Disney World!!! I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!
