We stopped for a few pictures in front of the castle and then headed toward Fantasyland through Liberty Square because the entrance through the castle was roped off for the show that is done in front of the castle.(wow that is a loong sentence)

I love this photo-- look at you! Like the green crocs!

After Peter Pan Rae wanted to ride It’s a Small World but after explaining about popular rides and wait times she came over to my way of thinking.

Good diser!!! Explain to the children why your way is better!

She said it was too dark,too loud,and the pirates were ugly.

Rachel was totally insulted that she wasn’t able to ride..

And we're all offended too, on her behalf!

We were walking toward the busses when GP called.They had found the rooms and they were connecting but on the fourth floor.

What a bummer on all the room problems! I think we were on the 4th floor at Pop too (but only for 2 days).

Seems like you're having a great first day!

Yes, it is quite uncanny. Too bad I didn't "meet" you sooner, before our summer vacation when we were down there last June for 4 days. Not sure when the next Atlanta adventure will be, maybe a transfer after Disney before heading home???

I had just gotten the words”we should be there in about thirty minutes” out of my mouth when we started to slow down.

My only requests were first floor and connecting rooms.We had payed for preferred also.The room we got was fourth floor and not connecting.The CM said there were no notes about my reuests with my ressie.WHAT?! I had checked on my requests several times before the trip and they were always there.The CM said that there was nothing that could be done that night but that we would be given new rooms the next day that met my requests.

Oh Amy, I so seriously hope this does not happen to us, I could never be cool with something like that...glad you kept the boil under control.../COLOR]

We love that place, plan to go again in 08 the upstairs dinning room is so quiet, what a change from the normal craziness

the rain steadily got heavier and heavier.We stopped long enough to put on ponchos and admire some ducks and continued on our way.

Oh what would a WDW trip be without some rain???

We arrived at the busstop,unloaded the stroller and discovered Peyton’s bag is missing. Peyton went over to the CM he had pintraded with to see if he had seen it and he had it! We thanked him several times and took a picture with him.We were soo lucky to have found it so easily.

Love the detailed response! I was relieved for his sake.I don't get too upset about stuff like that mbut I knew he wouldn't forgive himself.It was only the first lost item of the trip.

i'm finally caught up!!! great reporting so far! i just LOVE the picture of rachel seeing the castle for the first time. and only in WDW would peyton be able to go back and find his bag.....that's so great! can't wait for more!!!

We pulled up to the Contemporary a few minutes after 6:00pm and our ressie is for 6:10pm.I let everyone out at the door because we weren’t going to get the ECV out of the van.I told them to head up to the restaraunt to check in and I would park.All of the handicapped spaces were gone so I had to park at the end of the parking lot in one of the few spaces available.I hiked to the entance and took the elvator upstairs.I found my parents waiting in a huge line. I wish I had taken a picture of this line but it did move quickly.

It was about 6:20 when we checked in and we found seats to wait for our pager to flash. We didn’t stand in line to have our picture taken in front of the big plate because I knew we wouldn’t buy it and the line was pretty long.We were a cranky group as we waited.We were all starving and the kids were restless.We were entertained by a family who was having trouble controlling their kids.A little girl and boy probably about three and four years old kept running from their table and then a teenager would run after them.He never could catch them so then the father would get up and yell at the older kid for not catching them. This happened four or five times.

Finally about 7:00pm our table was ready. The waitress explained how the characters worked but our main concern at this point was food!I waited at the table with Rae while everyone else got their first plate full.Then I went up and got mine and Rachel’s.I have to say nothing much about the food here stands out with me.We all liked the chicken and mashed potatos and the Mickey shaped pasta was a hit with Rachel and Peyton.It wasn’t bad and wasn’t outstanding either.
(Peyton remembered to take this picture but after I had already started eating)

We all got full and there were no complaints.Would we return?Yes, but probably for breakfast-the characters are a must do every trip.

Mickey came first and signed their books and joked around with Peyton a little bit.

After Mickey it was time for some napkin twirling.
(Sorry the pictures are blurry, the setting was wrong and I didn’t realize it until after I took some pictures)

The next character to come to the table was Minnie.

After Minnie was Donald Duck.This was a surprise because last time we saw Chip and Dale.

Mickey came by again and I asked to have his picture taken with GP.

Pluto was right behind Mickey.

We all had dessert

and were ready to leave when Goofy made it to our table.This is the only character Rae was a little shy with for some reason but she warmed up to him.

We were waiting to sign our bill slips when it was time for another napkin twirl!

All through dinner the kids,mainly Peyton,talked about going to Epcot.Epcot was having EMH and they wanted to ride Test Track at night.I was afraid they were tired and would get grouchy but decided to go ahead and take them.


Sidenote:My kids are night owls.You will see as the report progresses that they can stay up late and get up the next morning ready to go.Even at home it is not unusual for Rachel and Peyton to still be awake at 11:00pm on a school night.We put them to bed but they don’t go to sleep.

First though I wanted to look in the gift shop at the Contemporary.I ended up buying us all jibbitz. I got the Mickey hat I had been wanting,Rachel picked out Ariel,and Rebekah and Peyton got the Mickey hands.I later found out that GM had fallen coming into the contemporary. I was watching the kids and never even realized it.She had a nasty bruise on her knee the next day.Peyton also bought a Test Track model car for him and GP to put together.We finished our shopping and I hiked to the van and brought it to the front door for GM and GP.After seeing them off ,the kids and I took the monorail to the TTC (I think that is where you transfer) and then got on the monorail to Epcot!

Next up....would the waits be too long to ride Test Track??

So glad Peyton found his bag...definitely Pixie Dust there. Also, sure looks like the kids had fun with the characters at Chef Mickeys!

Yes it does! The hotel never appealed to me but the pictures of the rooms look so comfy...They had a blast twirling thoose napkins.
GM seems to be getting less steady on her feet. She wasn't even going to tell me she fell-GP told me.

HI!I don't know if we will ever get to skip it.It is nmy kids first request.On our first trip I knew NOTHING and it was planned last minute.The only ressie I could get at the Contemporary(we had a Wishes cruise) was at the Concourse Steakhouse.The kids could see the Characters at Chef Mickey and kept asking why we couldn't eat at the fun restaraunt.
