hello everyone! we're back! Any questions let me know!!!
We had an awesome time on our trip! Its too bad that it had to end. Now back to reality.
We stayed for 5 nights at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. It was really close to the entrance to the parks which was great. The hotel had a free shuttle to the parks. But it had its downside. my DH has cerebral palsy and uses crutches to walk so we rented a scooter from outside the parks. That was all fine and good. but we had to call ahead and schedule a wheelchair accessible vehicle to take us to the parks and it was real pain getting it up the lift that was next to the driver and bringing it down the aisle. The disney transport buses were much better! next time we'll be staying on site at a value resort for this reason.
We made it through the Bradley airport without a problem and then took Mears transportation to get to the hotel. Its amazing we survived! That guy was a reckless driver! Thankfully, we had a different driver back to the airport. Our first day we just chilled around the hotel. We went to Ci Ci's Pizza for dinner which was right near the hotel. It was yummy!
Our first day we headed to the Magic Kingdom. We took the ferry boat over and got some great pictures. Unfortunately once we got over to the entrance the camera died! What timing! and the batteries that I bought before the trip weren't working so I had to buy some more inside the park. Thank God those worked! lol! We slowly headed down Main Street USA and a nice couple stopped to take our picture after I took their picture We headed over to Adventure land first and make our way all around the Castle. Pirates of the Caribbean was awesome and it was great to see the new additions of Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones and Barbosa on the ride After some other attractions we headed over to Splash Mountain. One of my favorite rides! Although DH was nervous he had a great time on the ride and we got an awesome picture!
We saw the show in Frontierland with Woody, Jesse and Bullseye from Toy Story and they all came out and danced. We got to see some of it as we ate our turkey legs....yum! For the rest of the day we got through the lines really quickly. It helped to have a scooter Although I was amazed at the amount of scooters there! I think some people were just lazy.....lol. By mid day we were on our way to Fantasy land but at that point it was peak time for little kiddies to be there so we squeezed our way through and headed to Tomorrow land. There were quite a few attractions that were new to me.....Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Stitch's Great Escape and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. The Monsters Inc one was the best. We saw it twice! We stayed until 8pm and got a ton done at the park.
Our second day we split between Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney. There didn't seem to be as much to do at Hollywood Studios so we made it a half day. We saw The Great Movie Ride, Muppet Vision 3D, Studio Backlot Tour and Lights, Motors, Action stunt show. The stunt show was awesome! They showed a bunch of cars doing these cool stunts on the lot and then they had one car going backwards.....i was thinking how could he do those stunts backwards! then they showed the car went behind a building and a different car going backwards came out but the driver was facing backwards with it looking like he was facing towards the front. It was so cool! We saw the new Pixars Block Party Bash parade before we left. The cast members were being kinda pushy making us move even farther and farther back with the scooter....pretty annoying! But it was a cool show and we got to see characters from the Incredibles, Bug's Life, and Monsters, Inc. After that we took the shuttle to Downtown Disney to leasurely stroll around. We ate dinner there at Planet Hollywood and it was really cool to see all the memorabilia inside. We did some shopping in Mickey's mart and the yummy Candy Cauldron. I bought a Minnie Mouse antenna topper for my car. Then we got to relax and sit along the water watching the boats go by. Maybe next time we'll rent a boat
Our third day was at Epcot. They were having the annual Flower and Garden Festival so there were a lot of bushes carved to be different characters like mickey and minnie and snow white and the seven dwarfs.

It was at Epcot that we got pictures with so many characters. We went to the character greeting spot where we waited in line for about 40 minutes with a bunch of little kids and their families to get our pictures taken with mickey, minnie, chip and dale, pluto and goofy....it was great! I liked how Epcot was more open and it was easier to get around. It was nice to take a trip around the countries which i've only done once before quickly. We ate dinner at the United Kingdom and got fish and chips. The best ever!! I wanted to go on Test Track but forgot to get a FastPass. unfortunately there were all used up at one point. But i've been on it before. We stayed a full day here and pretty much got to see everything we wanted to. We stayed for the night time show Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. It was the best fireworks show ever! A definite must see!
Our last day we headed over to Animal Kingdom. The last time i went was the first year it opened so there was quite a bit changed since its now in its 10th anniversary. The big tree in the middle of the park is amazing. We saw the "Its tough to be a bug" show. That was by far the best 3D show that we saw. There were so many things that got us in the audience. We went on the Kilamanjaro safari and actually got to see a ton of animals. It kinda ruined it though when we took the train to Rafiki's planet watch and saw buildings where they herded the animals into at night. That just felt wrong I got a FastPass for Expedition Everest so i didn't have to wait in line. That rollercoaster was awesome! It went forwards and backwards and took you inside the mountain where you saw a HUGE animatronic Yeti that looked like it was going to grab us on the rollercoaster.
There were a lot of ducks and strange birds just wandering the park which was neat to see After a long day we headed back to the hotel and ate their dinner buffet which was yummy.
The weather our whole trip could not have been better. It was in the low 80's and completely sunny the whole time. Well except for a short amount of time at Epcot where it got dreary and i got concerned for the fireworks show. But that was nothing and there was no rain. Overall it was a great trip! It was rough coming back home though and remembering how beautiful florida is right now.....lol. I am so glad that we got to go!
My DH had never been before and just after the first day he was talking about coming back next year. That is the greatest thing to hear from a crazed disney fan!
Now i get to start planning for next year.......
Unfortunately i work in the school system so i'm stuck to the worst times to go. But either way I'll be in disney!
