Well right now we would be on our way to Disney World. Last night about 2:00 AM Mary Elizabeth's oxygen started dropping. We were having a hard time getting it to stay up. We couldn't tell exactly what was going on. Her lungs didn't sound wet and she didn't seem to be wheezing. Even though she didn't feel warm Mike said to take her temperature. It was 95. We ran into this for the first time last year when she was admitted to the ICU at Egleston Children's Hospital. Before then we had never experience a low temp. Within a couple of hours her breathing got worse. It just hits her so hard when it hits.
After taking her to the doctor and then on to the hospital it was determined that she has bronchitis bordering pneumonia. She was started on antibiotics and we will give her breathing treatments every four hours. Of course we have her oxygen here if we need it. Talk about being thankful!!! We are so thankful that they did not put her in the hospital and we caught it when we did.
Everything happens for a reason. This was a wonderful reminder of the important things in life. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Please keep Mary Elizabeth is your prayers. Thanks so much!!!
