Advice? I haven't ever done consecutive table service meals with my kids (here or in WDW). Hoping they do ok with it. We are on the DDP, so want to maximize. Aiming for a 530 dinner each night.

Suggestions? Anywhere I can do better?

TIA!

12/6 - Ohana dinner
12/7 - 1900 Park Fare dinner
12/8 - Akershus LUNCH
12/9 - Boma dinner
12/10 - Whispering Canyon dinner
12/11 - Le Cellier dinner

I would really like to try Jiko or Flying Fish, but I am afriad to bring my kids. They behave (for the most part)...but I don't know how kid friendly those places are..

Thanks!

I think those are a good cross-section of what WDW offers, so if those are the restaurants that sound good to you then go for it. My only suggestion is that you've stacked all the character meals in the first couple days. My kids do best when we alternate character meals and regular TSs so they have something to look forward to.

You'll find kids at all the signature restaurants, but I do have to say that Jiko was the least kid-centric we've been to, it was so quiet and calm - at least compared to the din coming from Boma! Nonetheless, we're taking ours to Jiko in September. We're eating at FF for the first time this trip but not taking the kids so I can't help there.

It is a great list- we have eaten at all of them and like them very much. Have you made your ADRs yet? We are going the same time and I made mine at 180 days (back in June). You may have a hard time getting into some of them (Le Cel) AND and 5:30 which is a popular dining time. I would call MS first thing tomorrow and see what you can get. Good luck.

Don't forget, if they don't have 5:30, ask for anything between 5:15 and 5:45. They'll probably find you something close (don't know abotu LeCel, tho).

Flying Fish is a pretty open spot with lots of interesting things hanging from the ceiling, and windows that the kids can look out to see what's up on the Boardwalk. Might be alright for them. That said, we found the restaurant way over priced for the quality of food that we got.

Jiko, on the other hand, was superb! You can ask to be seated by the window which shows a little stream of water, then afterwards, you can take the kids to see the animals. 400 times better than Boma in my opinion.

Hi -

Have you thought about doing any character meals?

We like Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. The one plus with these is that they are buffets and your littlest will get to eat for free:banana: Also, we like the buffets because it gives the kids a chance to get up and move around... My oldest DS is 8 and is quite fine at sit down restaurants, but my other DS will almost be 2 and it will be good for him to get up and walk around.

Here is a list of my ADR's:

12/13 Crystal Palace 5:00
12/14 Chef Mickey's 5:25
12/15 Ohana 5:05
12/16 Chef's de France Candlelight Processional
12/17 Coral Reef 4:55
12/18 Boma 5:00

What ever you decide I hope you can get the times that you need pixiedust:

I think your ADRs look great - your family will have so much fun at these restaurants. I don't think I'd take a toddler (21 months) to a signature meal. They wouldn't have a very good time and could act out in a way that would distrub other diners. We've had this happen at Jiko and it was extremely rude of the parents to bring their toddler to Jiko and let them behave in a way that really disrupted those around them. Also, the child was obviously not having a good time

We have taken our daughter from the age of 10 mos nearly every year to Ohana's, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace and she did just fine. She loved them so much we are now taking her, our SIL and our 1st grandson to the same places when we go in January.

I would suggest for children your ages to definitely include a character meal or two. I recommend Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. Both are excellent when it comes to character interaction and have very nice buffets. :yay:

Have a fun and safe trip!!
