Our Teachers are on STRIKE!

I'm not following your math here. I read that the issue that made the teachers walk was the addition of 30 min. to the school day. Are those pesky papers misrepresenting an education issue again?

Thats where the 8% comes in, they want extra pay for the extra 30 minutes. Our kids only get 20 minutes for lunch, they have to extend it to 30 minutes. We have 3 lunches and therefor, need an extra 30 minutes to get in all the education requirements. The extra pay is what is holding up the agreement. They met again tonight, hopefully they have come to an agreement. I'll find out tomorrow morning.
