Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

Tangled is amazing! We went to the cinema to see this and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. You're so right - it's Flynn's smoulder and a horse with anger management issues that make this movie! Definitely a repeat watch.

I still haven't gotten around to actually practicing with the camera yet - so far the most I've done is taken it out of its bag and swooned over it going "it's so pretty!" :rotfl: I'm determined to be an expert by the time we leave though so I'll keep you updated if I manage to learn anything! We also got our's in Argos

Finally catching up :) I loved Tangled. It was the best non-Pixar Disney movie I'd seen in a while. I liked Princess and the Frog too but it wasn't quite as good as Tangled. I'm lucky that my husband is an animation fan so I never have to talk him into seeing a Disney movie. Though he did mock Tarzan while we were watching it a couple weeks ago. It wasn't one of Disney's best but I found it touching in spite of his mocking :)

I love Tangled too and I am with you on the shedding a few tears part! I totally cried at the theater and I cried when I bought it and watched it at home!

I still haven't seen tangled yet :sad2: Another movie to add to the list!

You definitely have to add this one to the list DisneyAsh32! It's amazing!! I still have to catch up on loads - hopefully I'll have enough time to fit them all in :goodvibes

Trying to get daughter home long enough to see Tangle. She has seen it in the breakroom at work. She works at walmart as a cashier. I am so behind in movies just watched Toy Story 3 a few weeks ago with dh (he even suggested it). For now that is my fav.

Hope you and your daughter get to watch Tangled soon :wizard:

:woohoo: on DH watching Toy Story 3 with you (and even suggesting it!!) I watched that movie at the pictures and loved it! I'm a bit upset that Lotso will not be there on our visit :sad2:

I love Tangled!! I'm looking forward to it coming out on DVD as well. I love Maximus and the way he is angry and then changes to have a soft heart!

We have been practicing with the camera - will be sharing pics in the next update which is on its way! I think it's so pretty as well - Zaheer has just learnt how to attach the cover to it, which makes it look even prettier! :rotfl: I look forward to hearing how you get on with it - yay for Argos!!

Thank you for catching up! :goodvibes Tangled sure is great! :thumbsup2 I was going to review Princess and The Frog next but have changed my mind. I agree with you - it's not up to par with Tangled. I love how Tiana is independent but that's about it. Sorry to anyone who loves that movie.

Yay on having a husband who will happily watch Disney movies with you - he is def a keeper! Lol at him mocking Tarzan! I've not watched that one so will have to add it to the list :)

Yay, Tangled is awesome!! :thumbsup2 I'm soo happy to hear I am not the only one that shed a few tears!! I was starting to think I was being over emotional!

It's not released here in the UK yet but am pretty sure I will cry when I watch it again ;)

Hope you have a special day! :goodvibes

I have been mentioning that Zaheer took some coutryside pictures on the new camera - I thought I would share some of them with you. What do you think?

I have also been working on our packing list - it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I divided it into different sections including:

Clothing/accessories - have put numbers of how many of each clothing item I am allowed to take!
Toiletries
Travel documents
First Aid
Other items
Theme park/Water park day bag

Here is my suitcase that I will be using. I love it and it was purchased in the sale! :woohoo:

Zaheer's will be a plain black one - don't think he'd appreciate a floral design! :lmao:

Question of the week: What is the one item of packing you can not afford to leave behind and why?

It may help with reminding me of any items I have forgotten! ;)

Chargers! Last trip we had a problem with the camcorder charger, which thankfully we got sorted, but for a few horrible hours we thought we weren't going to be able to use the brand new camcorder we bought just for the trip.

My best packing advice is to think of what items are irreplaceable - in other words, what CAN'T you get there if need be? For me if I forget my favourite pair of trainers or a few t-shirts, or even some of my toiletries, all of these things can be bought when I get there if needed. But things like my camcorder charger, or my contact lenses or my park tickets - forgetting those doesn't bear thinking about :scared1:

I love the pictures! Your new suitcase is really pretty, and it will be easy to spot at the airport! :thumbsup2

The biggest thing for me that I CANNOT forget is my contacts and glasses. I have really terrible vision, and I always freak out before a vacation that I will forget to bring extra contacts or my glasses. I wear my glasses only at night, but if I don't have them I can't watch TV once I get into bed. It would be worse to forget extra contacts, because if I tore a contact I would be stuck wearing my glasses all the time! :sad1:

Great pictures!! ...and I LOVE your suitcase....I like getting suitcases that I spot coming around the carousel...

My camera batteries and the charger to go with them....I have one in the camera and I bring a spare so I know I always have a fresh battery....at the end of the trip all you have left are your pictures so that's my must pack item!! I also love having my Ipod touch, so again, that charger too!!

This trip I have purchased our park tickets and have them here so I had to add those to our packing list!! Can't forget those!!!

Love love love Tangled, can't wait for its Blu-ray release later on this month. The lantern scene is my absolute favourite and the song is so beautiful :)

Cool country pics, lovely blue skys. I love your suitcase too, very Hawaiian looking :teeth:

I LOVE that suitcase!!!!

I would hate to forget sunscreen and a hat... that sun on my head all day, no thanks

Thanks - already have them on the list! :thumbsup2 That must have been scary - not knowing if you were going to be able to use the charger! :scared1: Am glad you managed to get it sorted and capture some special moments of your trip.

I had not thought about it in that way but you are right - I need to think about what I will not be able to purchase if I forget it. As long as I have them things then everything should be fine, right? ;)

Thank you - I love them pictures aswell! That's the reason I love that suitcase - when it comes through I will be able to notice it straight away! :goodvibes

You definitely don't want to forget them! I am lucky in that I do not need glasses/contacts but I think if I needed them that would be the first item I would check, especially if it meant I could not watch TV! :)

Thank you!! I LOVE it too and it is great at standing out when there are loads of bags on the carousel! I keep saying to Zaheer that he needs something other then black as it takes ages for him to find his!

I would be gutted if I left any camera equipment behind as am in agreement that they are the treasured memories when the trip is done and dusted :thumbsup2 I must be the only person that has still not invested in an Ipod! I still use my phone to listen to music! :lmao:

I loved it too - my favourite modern princess story! That lantern scene is gorgeous :)

I know - am a bit gutted that it rained in Manchester today, but at least it was still sunny at the same time! That suitcase puts me in holiday mood :teeth:

I LOVE that suitcase!!!!

I would hate to forget sunscreen and a hat... that sun on my head all day, no thanks

Thank you - I'm glad I stumbled across it!! I also love that it is pink and very girly!!

Yep sunscreen is something that is not to be forgotton - I'd hate to come back sunburnt! Also imagine the pics...

Happy Mothers Day, One thing I have to make sure I have is medical supplies. Pain meds, test kits for sugar leval (I'm sure I will be eating more sweets then normal). I am planing on sending them ahead in package. Never boarded an airplane with a needle and not a full diabetic so don't have card or whatever they might give you.

Your new suitcase is so cute

The camera looks like it will take some great disney pictures as those countryside pictures came out really nice.

One thing I can't go without: I agree with everyone on the chargers, but for me also things to keep the kids entertained, but since you aren't traveling with kiddos..... hmmmm sunscreen

Between 2 iPhones, the iPad or laptop, camcorder, camera etc... I hate hunting through the room for outlets. I can easily plug in the strip. I take a 3 prong adapter too.
I use one outlet and I can turn it off in the morning when we leave instead of trying to unplug everything.
I never travel anywhere without it.

Your pictures are really pretty, looked like a gorgeous day!

I really like your suitcase too, it looks very tropical - perfect for vacation!

In addition to camera chargers don't forget extra memory cards, if you're anything like me you'll need more than one.

I also HAVE to remember my Chi - Florida humidity and my hair don't get along, I don't know what I'd do without my trusty Chi!

Great pictures.
I love your suitcase, so cute!
And, thanks for the Mother's Day wish

Thank you! Hope you had a great day! It was actually Mother's Day in the UK in March but in my opinion everyday should be a special day for mums (or moms!) Aaw my mum has erratic sugar levels and has to be careful as well. I have all my meds listed in our packing list. My main thing is pain killers as have a hip joint condition and am sure all that walking will have an impact on it! :goodvibes

That's what I thought. If I get disney pictures of that quality then I will be a happy bunny!

Hmmm no kiddos at present. May keep that advice in mind for one day in the future but in the meantime will def try and remember the sunscreen :goodvibes

:welcome:Dee (or Honorary Diva!) thank you for reading and commenting! :goodvibes

I had not thought about taking a power strip though know what you mean about searching for power outlets in a room! I will add one to the list so I don't have to go around turning everything off and can get out of the room that bit earlier! :thumbsup2

Btw congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! I hope you have a great trip and if you start a PTR be sure to let me know :)

Thank you! I didn't go but did hear that it was a gorgeous day and fun was had by all members of the party!

I like the tropical look of the suitcase as well :thumbsup2

Need to remember memory cards - I'm leaving the camera duties to Zaheer but will double check to make sure everything is packed!

What is Chi - I have never heard of it but it sounds like something I need to look into as my hair also does not get along with humidity! I googled to find out but didn't get a decent response.

Great pictures.

Only the best flat iron ever made! They are expensive, but worth it, I've had mine for almost 5 years now and it still works great. If I don't use it in the morning when I'm in Florida my hair looks like a frizzy mop about 2.5 seconds after I step out of the room

Thank you for letting me know. I have a pair of GHDs and love them to bits, hence the reason I have not heard of CHI. I have just googled a comparison of the two and there seems to be different opinions.

As it is a bit pricey I will stick with my GHD for now but will definitely look into CHI if I ever need to buy a flat iron in the future :cool1:

Your pictures look great, looks like the new camera is going to be awesome! :cool1:

Love the suitcase! I'm so obsessed with luggage lately, even though I bought new luggage before my Disneymoon last May, I already want something new! :rotfl:

2 things I would FREAK out without in Florida-my glasses and my flat iron! :rotfl: I don't wear contacts, and I only wear my glasses when I'm driving or have to see things far away (like shows or something) but if I didn't have them, I'd lose my mind! And I don't straighten my hair every day, but on the days that I want to, I need my flat iron, a round brush and a hair dryer just are not good enough!
