Our Senior trip 9 years late....

Hi my name is Jill! My Best friend from High School and I are planning our Senior Trip down there! Funny thing we graduated from High School back in 2000. We had originally planned to go to WDW right after graduation but, surprise surprise didn’t have enough money ; So, nine years later we are finally planning on going again. The most exciting part is that LuAnn has still never been. I on the other hand was apart of the Walt Disney World College Program back in 2001 and 2003. I haven’t been down there since November of 2006 when we took my parents down for their 25th Anniversary. When I left in 2003 they had just started building Expedition Everest and it was still under construction in ’06. As Walt Disney hoped it would … the parks are always changing and I can’t wait to see and do all the new stuff! LuAnn and I have both moved from Colorado (where we grew up) I live in Missouri and she lives in Alabama the last time we saw each other was the Fourth of July 2007 so this will be a mini reunion of sorts to.
The plan: I am going to jump in my car (it is a convertible so we are looking forward to putting the top down in the Florida Sunshine)on May 16th and drive to Alabama. Spend a couple hours there visiting with her family and stretching my legs before, we jump in and head to O’town. We are staying at Pop Century which was also under construction when I worked down there last. Both of us are History buffs and Children of the 80’s. Of Coarse we would love to stay at a Deluxe resort the Poly and Boardwalk are my favs. But, at this stage in our lives neither of us can justify spending that much money on a place to rest our head when we plan on spending very little time in the room. For the first time ever (for me) we purchased the Dining Plan so we are looking forward to eating. Funny we are both on a diet for this trip but we are going to eat well while we are down there but, heck we will walk it off in the parks right?

Wow I can't believe its almost go time! A couple things have changed since I first reported instead of driving we are flying. On Saturday I am flying to meet LuAnn in Nashville and then Sunday early morning we are flying from Nashville to Orlando. This will be my first time using the Magical Express yay! For NO more Mears! My CM friends say the parks have been pretty slow and for selfish reasons I am TOTALLY ok with that We had a little bit of a scare this past week due to the fact that my interview for my program that I am trying to get into at school was originally scheduled for Tuesday and there was a concern that I was going to have to fly home on Tuesday and fly back but, we are blessed and it all worked out. I have my interview tomorrow and one more final and then to pack and its finally GO TIME!! I plan on taking lots of pics and having a full report for you when we get back. Have a MAGICAL DAY!
