Hmmm.. that may be worse than having a trampoline in your backyard! And the expense of building and maintaining But it did look cool and I am so glad my backyard is the size of a hankerchief right now!

I was right there with you. I'd be sitting at the table trying to write Mary-Kathryn with my (by the end of the year) good friends Franklin, Christopher, and Elizabeth while Lisa, Ann, Scott and David were all off playing somewhere. Oh the horror, Btw, does that count as child abuse?!?!?

Huhm ... eek if that is the case I'm gonna get locked up cause I named my son Benjamin. he didn't have a chance since he is VERY left handed. good grief I had to not only help him with his homework (what fools he had for parent's we put him in French immersion) but had to make sure his name started at the LEFT handed side of page NOT the Right!

I had a fabulous older sister , whom shared an apt with my grouchy other older sister (whom just so happened to be at da mutherland at the time), who let me have a sleepover for a couple of my closest friends at their apt when I was younger! A couple turned into somewhere between 50 -100 , and 1 night turned into 2 nights. However, only 2-3 of my closest friends actually spent the night.

That was the best party weekend ever. I must admit to doing a lot of that weekend . Which is very amazing because my mom must have called every hour on the hour to see how things were going. Thankfully she didn't come over. Good times soon came to a screeeeeeching hault when my much talked about party was overheard by one of my close friend's mom while dining at Big Boy. She tore up those phone lines calling my mom! Also its turns out the Grouchy Oldest Sister couldn't wait to tattle either-- I mean really where was all the Magic?!?!?! Great party, but I heard about it for YEARS!!! Which is probably why I keep such a close watch over my little darlings!

Speaking of warped and twisted, does anyone else on here watch "Dead Like Me"? It's quite amusing, and pretty twisted. They're showing it Tuesday nights from 7-9 on Sci-Fi.

I saw it once, and I couldn't stop laughing.

So our season is up and running officially now. All three levels of teams are picked in our 8 and under program. On the most advanced level the were down to 3 players for 2 spots. My Dh and I made a case for the oldest kid since he was moving to squirts next year. So the coaches put him on the team. He played on a team with my youngest son last where all the new kids play. Mostly it is all skills development and they do some games and a couple of close tourneys but I affectionately call it "mob hockey" The puck goes followed by 8 kids. There is no positioning other than someone in the goal which changes with each shift. Basically no rules. Well this kid played most of last year on this team and then got moved up to the other 1/2 ice team towards the end of the year. Again 1/2 ice not really structured on positioning too much yet. So kid is on the team and the coaches put him on Cody's line in defense. CJ is an awesome defensemen and a good leader so it seemed like a natural fit to teach the kid defense. He was the last kid picked and we already have a goalie/couple of centers and some pretty good wingers. His dad comes up to the coach tonight and tells him that there is no way that his kid is going to play defense (in a tone that means business). My Dh the assistant coach is one of those kind of guys when he finds someones weakness really likes to push buttons. This is going to be a long sticken year.

My little guy team as previously discussed earlier (brody's team) I'm just getting to know the parents and introducing myself to them. I can already tell I have some doozies. Great. We had such a great year last year on both teams I really dread dealing with these losers. Sometimes I just want to scream when I'm down there about what the MISSION OF YOUTH SPORTS IS.

Thanks all for letting me vent. Ok where do I join the twisted limey club? Is there an initiation process?

Don't you just love the parents who think that the team is there for the service of their child, and their child only?

Will you be honoring us with your limey braces in Richmond? If so you might want to put atleast 1 lemon band in to honor RER meetings in both VA & W VA. (don't want him feeling left out)
