Michele, Sorry to hear Cody got sick. Hope he's feeling better soon! Do you give him vitamins, maybe that will help get him over the hump! I'm sure WDW will really pump him up!
Maybe those afternoon breaks will be even more handy on your trip, Michelle, if Cody tires out more quickly than he used to. Poor thing. He just can't catch a break! But I'm glad to hear he's mostly doing better. :) I agree, the WDW trip is sure to give him a boost.

Hey Va-Bear we can learn to surf in Jan. Got that!!!!! I do like smoothies though.
I don't recommend that in Jan. in CA. The Pacific here is way colder than the Atlantic anyplace I've tried (from CT to FL). The air temperature is not too bad, though. Just right for trotting to a jacuzzi. With a smoothie, or something a little stronger. :drinking1

Yeah he does take gummy vitamins each day and I'm trying to get him to take airborne but that is kind of a fight.

Hey, limeys. I have a project for anyone who’s going to the mutherland or any other fun adventures soon and is willing to have a little bit of fun helping out my DD7. Her class is doing a Flat Stanley project (if you don’t know about Flat Stanley, you can find out more here http://flatstanley.enoreo.on.ca/ or google him or do a DIS search on “Flat Stanley” as others here have taken him on trips before). Basically, what would happen is that we would mail DD’s Flat Stanley to you and you would take him along on your adventures, log short diary entries of what he did and what adventures he had, and hopefully also get pictures of him at various sites/landmarks (with or without you). Then you would mail him back so she could share his adventures with her class. It’s kind of fun. I have seen a number of different projects similar to this. For instance, this little restaurant in downtown San Diego called The Cheese Shop has a Frisbee with its logo on it and people take it all over getting pictures of it at various sites around the USA/world and then they put the pics up on the restaurant walls. I even saw a thread here once in which a poster shared pics that her co-workers had from their collective trips with one of those Arby’s Oven mitts (see Oven Mitt: http://www.ihateovenmitt.com/). Anyway, if anyone would be interested in this, PM me. DD would need to have Stanley and the diary/photos back by the end of October at the latest. (Digital photos would be fine, as they could be emailed and we could easily have them printed rather than putting someone else to the trouble.) If we don’t find someone who will be doing something exciting to take him, we’ll have to send him to a less-than-exciting relative. LOL Poor Stanley. If he has to go to rural Kansas, he’s going to be really bored! Man, I sure wish I’d known about this when Teresa went on her 28-day vacation. That would have been awesome – think of the adventures Stanley could have had on that trip!

How hilarious!!!!! WE'd be glad to take Stanly with us somewhere. It depends on what he has planned, whether or not coming to VA would be fun for him.
We are definately going to our local "zoo" (more of a large nature area...) and MAYBE going to DC weekend after next (Na. Zoo, Smithsonains..) - let me know if he'd like to come play with us!

PS - yes, get you walet out - becasue paying me is the ONLY was you'll see me on a surf board!!! Though, I WISH I could surf!!!!

You've gotta be kidding me. I brought home about 20 soaps and 6 or 7 shampoos from my trip. That's a heck of a lot of money for Ivory soap wrapped in Mickey paper. On the other hand, how Ivory soap reminds me of happy times. :) But, yeah, shipping to Canada is no laughing matter. I've had to ship things to a friend a few times and it's been really expensive. Consider yourself lucky, though. I mailed a 1 lb 2 oz package to the Netherlands for my grandma today and Global Express Mail was $30.50 US!!!!

We brought our own soap and shampoo with us on our trip because DW can be allergic to some soaps. We "swiped all the bar soap and shampoo from our room everyday. Maybe there should be a prize for swiping soaps now too :teeth: I think we swiped about 7 of each. We probably could have gotten more, but we didn't see mousekeeping during the day (we were too busy).
