Mine wouldn't go away to college either. He wouldn't even consider anything out of the state.

I am trying to get him to look into the Disney College internship.

Brandi-- that's cool about the library. I had heard that kindle didn't do that.

Kristi-- from what I've been reading on B&N, most of the "free" books are just samples. :headache:

all books out of copyright are free, so all of the classics are free.
Then I can get a ton of free books of Amazon for my Kindle but I have not seen any samples... most of mine have been full books.

Check out this link for the nook.... http://www.ehow.com/how_5780852_ebooks-nook.html

Mary, I hit a few that were just samples, but most of what I've gotten are full books. I read one called Merlin's Daughters last weekend that I really liked that was a free one, and then read another Arthurian one, can't think of the name of it right now. I did find so far 2 of the 30 or so that I downloaded were samples or short stories, though.

GM PEEPs.

Need some prayers. My friends' 7 y/o ds is in the middle (hopefully close to end) of his 2nd liver transplant.

Not sure if you all remember me telling you about them. The boys are 7 y/o twins and one was born with a liver problem. He had a living donor transplant last year and it didn't work. Hopefully this one will work. Thanks!

Mary, sending prayers for this little boy that the new transplant will be successful!

T, I still don't really know what I want, well, I mean, if Santa could afford DVC I would LOVE that! But not likely to happen, so I'm not sure. Rick is all aggravated cause I am not able to give him a list...

Nay, just keep them close and you will end up with the same thing I have... A 26 year old that just graduated college and still lives at home....:confused3
:lmao::lmao:
I was kinda like you...couldn't WAIT to get out of the house. Once I got to school, I got pretty homesick, because most people living on campus only lived a half hour-45 min away, and it got REALLY lonely on weekends. I stuck it out and was fine halfway through the first semester. I really did have the time of my life...it was kind of a sad day when I graduated had had to join the real world.

Incase I don't get a chance to come on here later, have a great holiday!

I sprained my ankle in gym today. It rolled under me and popped after I finished six laps on the track. I burst into tears and I now have crutches. Joy.

T, that's a thought, though I still have about $28 on Catie's gift cards (she forgot them in the room so I lent her the cash and then she had to give me the balance on the cards, LOL. I was just checking out what I might buy with them, too. Haven't figured out how to order online and use 2 different cards though.

$28 bucks is like 2 whole drinks at Disney Though :teeth:

They take Disney gift cards at the bar??? No, really, most were only $7.50 ish each, so $28 will ALMOST buy 4! I'm sure I would look a little strange paying for my drinks with cards with Christmas prints but oh well... we'll see how it goes, I might go online and order some shirts or something...

LOL Kristi I think I'd just go to the store and find something with the four cards or ask if the money can be put on one.

How is everyone's weather? I'm hearing about flooding and blizzard conditions in NY and CA and just wondering if anyone is being effected. We are either getting 1-2 snowstorms this weekend or none at all. They can't tell yet, I'm rooting for none.

Allie-- sorry, hope it heals quickly.

Thanks for all the good thoughts for Sam. Please keep them coming. His surgery ended 11ish am yesterday. It had started close to midnight the night before. He was doing ok, bit of bleeding and slight rejection, but that is normal.

This morning he started hemmorging and they had to rush him into surgery so please keep him and his family in your prayers. Still waiting to hear how he is doing.

His liver donor was a 24 y/o MD man who apparently was killed in a car crash. He was able to help atleast 3 people. Sam got his liver, someone got his eyes and someone else got his heart I believe.

Sorry for the sad news, but he really needs prayers. Thanks bunches.

Praying for him. Wonder if it was that guy in Endicott city who hit the house and found all the drugs growing inside?
