We had to get a new lawn mower thisweekend. I hate spending any $$$ before a disney vacation! I thought about asking my DH to just trim the grass with scissors...but thought better of it!

If you find that cloning service let me know! I could use a couple too!

I can just see him on his hands and knees trying to cut the grass with scissors. I think it's a good thing that you went ahead and bought the new lawnmower...he might still be cutting the grass by hand and miss the trip if not.

Our 5th graders got to go tour the middle school for their field trip, even if they aren't attending that one. And poor Jeff called. Didn't make the 5th grade kickball team of them playing against the teachers. So he is real down. Blah! I know he will bounce back, but he so wanted to do this. His current school picks a certain number of 5th graders, while his last school played everyone. Hard on some of them, but harder on him with his emotions so tied up with everything.

Yeah - it is storming and pouring here - BIG TIME!!!! I am sitting here watching the lightning, thinking maybe I should powere this computer down.

That is really a bummer about the team. I dont see why they cant let all of the kids play! This is the sort of thing that has always made me feel so negative about sports period, especially at the school ages. ALL kids on the team should play, no matter what - and anyone who WANTS to play should be allowed to play. This isnt the Olympics! Arent we supposed to teach kids about teamwork and how winning isnt everything? I'm so sorry...poor guy.

I agree that all of the kids should be able to play. If there are too many kids, have 2 games or 3 or however many it takes to give everyone a chance. Our elementary school also had a 5th grade against the teacher game and everyone played.

So glad Chris made it home ok....where the heck did they go anyway?
