Hi! DH & I are going in Sept. We will have deluxe dining for the first 5 nights. Last 2 nights we'll be at GF main building club so we're planning less ADRs those 2 days. DH is a big beef eater & we like to do nice dinner most nights (we're not into the fireworks or parades). Here's what I'm planning:

Sat: try for Beaches & Cream for lunch. (Will depend on our arrival time. Waiting for Jetblue schedule!)
Dinner: Yachtsman's Steakhouse

Sun: Lunch: Plaza
Dinner: Cinderella's Royal Table

Mon: Lunch: Rose & Crown
Dinner: Tutto Italia

Tues: Lunch: Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner: Flying Fish

Wed: Lunch: Brown Derby
Dinner: ESPN Club

Thurs: Lunch: Le Cellier

Fri: Lunch: Crystal Palace

Sat: Lunch: Grand Floridian Cafe then we leave :sad1:

Thursday & Friday we'll have big lunches then try the afternoon tea, evening appetizers & desserts at GF's RPC. If we want an actaul dinner, we'll go to Cosmic Ray's at MK or try Gasparilla's Grill at GF. Breakfasts will be something light in the club level lounge.

Yes, a lot of food. But DH can have a steak everyday. That's his idea of a great vacation! We prefer appetizers (salads usually) to desserts. So we won't order dessert at every meal. And no we don't eat like this at home! ;)

We'll use snack credits for water, sodas, popcorn or ice cream in the parks. Last year we even brought popcorn home in a ziplock bag. Stayed tasty & it was a good way to use the last snack credits. If chocolate covered strawberries are on snack credits, I might have 1 or 2 of those too. :thumbsup2

We have eaten at all these places before, except Flying Fish. Any thoughts of feedback? I'll come back after the trip & let you all know how much weight we gained! :lmao:

Your ADRs look great, we haven't been to Flying Fish so I can't comment on it. As for the chocolate covered strawberries, they are definitely on the DDP (at least the ones at Goofy's Candy Co.) :goodvibes. We are doing the DxDP for the second time in May and we absolutely love it :). It is a lot of food, but I look at it as sitting down to eat is a great way to take a load off and relax. Have a great trip.

Thanks! You too!

Glad to hear about the strawberries, I just love them! :) We love the deluxe plan too. We have found it takes almost as much time waiting in a counter service line then hunting for a place to sit as it does to have a casual sit down meal. Why not relax & have someone wait on us? ;) We don't feel guilty if we don't eat every bite or order desserts at every meal. We actually feel free-er to order what we want. My DH would only eat at the counter service places where he could get a burger but I like more variety. So at sit downs, he can have beef & I can get a delicious salad or fish.

Enjoy your trip!! :goodvibes

I would take out CRT dinner and either move it to breakfast.... or do dinner at Citricos or California Grill. Much Much Much better food.

If you've had Crystal Palace and enjoyed it before... then go for it.... but I would suggest Mama Melrose, San Angel Inn, Chefs de France or maybe even Yak n Yeti.

Thanks for the feedback! :goodvibes The Crystal Palace lunch is just because we'll be staying at GF & plan to spend most of the time those 2 days just relaxing there. Wanted to just hop the monorail for a little MK time. Kona & The Wave lunch menus didn't appeal to us. I sort of decided on Crystal Palace by default. We like Chefs of France, but I didn't want to go back to Epcot that day. But it may be a better option.

And I did consider California Grill instaed of CRT. That day is Sept 11th & we will be in the park for the Flag Retreat at 5PM. Want to be done eating in time to see the new castle show & fireworks. I know I said we didn't care about the evening fireworks, but this is the only day I actually plan to see them. Then we can stay for evening EMH. So we would be dressed for the park & not as nice as I would dress to go to California Grill. And I was concerned about having enough time to finish dinner & be back in time to see the Castle show. Is the food at CRT that bad?

Thanks again! :)

We did CRT for dinner this past September (ate there before our MNSSHP) and we really liked it. We liked it so much that we are going back there on my DD9's B-day for dinner. You are going to find people either like it or not on here, so my suggestion to you is to be your own critic and try it out. If eating in the castle is something you want to do (and especially since you are on the DxDP, which IMHO is a good use of the plan) then by all means eat there :goodvibes

I'm so glad to hear you liked the food at CRT. We ate there once years ago, before it was a set price menu. Like I said, DH is a big beef eater & in 33 years of marriage, I've never heard him complain about a restaurant steak. That ADR is as much about convenience as it is the food, so we'll probably stick with it. I do appreciate hearing others thoughts tho. Thanks to you both! :goodvibes

I think the Pork Chop at CRT was one of my favorite meals on my last deluxe trip, much better the Flying Fish. We are actually looking at lunch and dinner next time we go.

Thanks! I love pork chops. Maybe I'll try that. :)

We are also going in September and have opted for the DxDP. I am really excited about it. We did DDP last time and though we had plenty of food, the DxDP will give us a chance to do more 2 credit places. DH has been working on a list of places we want to go and keeps changing his mind.:rotfl: So many good places. Your choices look great! I'm dying to do the tea at GF.
