Hey gang! We'll be at US/IOA on Sept 1st, about a week away!! I can't wait :cool1: My question for you is: We are probably going to cover Seuss Landing first before heading into WWoHP. Since we have a 5 yr old, i'm sure he will really like that area and want to do it first. So, do you think we will be alright if we don't do the Harry Potter stuff first off? And get there 1-2 hours after park opening? Or should we just do HP first and back track to Dr Seuss?

Since you're arriving late, the Potter crowds should be in full force. I'd recommend doing Suess first, as you want, then do the other islands, then Potter last.

It's a Wednesday and local schools are back in session, so that should affect lower crowds, and most people leave around 6PM...

Honestly, when my kids were 5 I'd have a pretty hard time getting them out of Seuss Landing (or Curious George, etc.). I understand there's a wide variation between kids, but generally the younger ones seem the easiest to please and the most resistant to boredom.

My advice: don't rush the kids along if you don't have to. If they end up missing a lot of stuff, don't worry about it and don't tell them, they'll never notice. They'll just remember having a great time doing 1 fish 2 fish over, and over, and over again :-0

My wife and I would 'ride swap', sort of: I'd stay with the kids on 1f2f, and she'd do Hulk. Then she'd take them on Cat in the Hat, and I'd go to Jurassic Park (for example).
