Our Pirate Adventure

Hello ! My name is Lesley. I am new at this so bear with me.. lol. My DM has been reading trip reports for a while now and she loves it !! We had such an AMAZING trip that I too wanted to share !! I hope you enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed making these wonderful, priceless memories !! So here goes..... Our Pirate Adventure !!



It all began while sitting on my couch wondering what I wanted to do to celebrate my 30th Birthday ! Last May, we had visited and taken my DM for her 50th birthday ! SO... I decided thats what I wanted too !! I called my DM and asked if she would be interested. And of course, She was !! The planning began.....

The free dining plan was being offered at the time, so We signed up !! My DS(4) is OBSESSED with everything Pirate.... so nothing else would do but the pirate rooms at CBR !!

On Friday, March 23, 2012.... DM, DD(10), DS(4) and I headed out at 4 am for our 12 hour drive to The Happiest Place on Earth !!



We arrived in Orlando about 4 pm with a non eventful drive... movies and snacks provided !! After sitting in Orlando rush hour for about an hour, We finally arrived at our motel. We weren't checking in to Disney until Saturday ! It was a nice place to stay and relax after a long day of driving. So we had dinner at My favorite place ( Olive Garden) and preceeded to prepare for our next destination !!

We woke up early on Saturday, checked out of our hotel, ate breakfast ther and decided to go on to CBR to see if maybe, possibly, Hoping that our room might be ready for us even though it was only 11 am !

Having visited WDW 10 other times, but only stayed on Disney property 2 previous times (CR and ASMusic), the CBR was new to all of us ! I had used Online Check In, so there was no line !! And YES !!! Our room was ready !! Our Pirate Room was ready for us to begin our Adventure.....

My DM took DD and DS on a walk around the grounds of the Resort, while I (the pirates) set up some treasure to be found !! Knowing how my kids love Pirates (especially Jake and Peter Pan) and Tinkerbell ! My DM and I had purchased some treasure prior to our trip. WHen the kids came in to the room, there was a treasure chest filled with lots of their favorite things !! My DS still believes that "The Pirates" left treasure for them !!

After resting for a few minutes, Our adventure began with trip to DTD and reservations at TREX. Having the Dining plan, We had a character meal reservation for everyday. I like to think of the TREX as dining with Characters too !! The kids each had their own Disney gift card and preceeded to SHOP, SHOP, and SHOP some more !!

Our dinner reservation time just happened to be at the same time that my University of Louisville Cardinals were playing the Florida Gators to get into the Final Four ! Thank goodness for my smart phone and a very understanding waitress who was also a huge sports fan !! I think everyone in the restaurant heard me yell as my Cardinals advanced to the next round !! Another major plus in our Adventure !!
