We just got back this past Sunday from our most magical trip, EVER, to WDW.
The magic started for us on the day before we left, I printed out our SW boarding passes, we got A seating. That was just the beginning.
Disney's Magical Express was far more than we expected. It was wonderful. We found them to be very accomadating. When we got to the resort, The All-Star Music, there was a huge line for check-in, that had never happened to us before in all the 8 times that we had been to Disney, so we patiently waited our turn, and another Magical moment, our room was ready for us and it was only 1:00 p.m. We went to the room to change into our bathing suits and hit the pool, while we were changing our luggage arrived. Great timing!
We had the free dining, we ate at some of the nicest restaurants. Our top three were the Cape May clambake, that was hubby's favorite, Whispering Canyon, my favorite, and our traditional choice the Crystal Palace. We did the Hoop-de-Doo and the luau at the Poly. Our worst dining experience, as far as I am concerned was the counter service at Germany. It was a very hot day, hubby was in need of a quick meal, he is diabetic, so we were in the vicinity of Germany and thought why not give it a try. YUCK.. My hotdog was awful, I could not eat it, but hubby did manage to eat enough to keep himself from getting into trouble with his blood sugar.
The highlight of the trip for me was when we went to MGM and went to the Indiana Jones show. When they asked for volunteers I raised my hand, and I could not believe it, they picked me!! Hubby was laughing so hard he almost forgot to take pictures. I had a ball, I could not believe they would actually pick me. Magical moment!!
These were just a few of the magical moments that we enjoyed on our trip. The weather was hot, but that is to be expected for this time of the year, the plane ride was okay, we had not flown in over 33 years, so there were a few tense moments for me, but I managed because I knew going down that I would soon be in my favorite place, WDW, and coming back I was tired from all the excitement, so I knew that I would soon be home. So I got through the ride better than hubby and I had hoped for.
One last funny thing that happened to me, when we got to the airport for our return trip home, I was very HOT and we had rushed thru the airport with 2 carryons, and 3 pieces of luggage. When we found the security check point for SW I got one of the worst hot flashes that I have ever had, I was swabbing my face and neck with a white hanky, so when I went thru the screening the security agent said to me, "Lady, we have to check your bag thoroughly, move to the side" He must have thought I looked very suspicious with the white hanky. I was not upset, I moved to the side, put my sneakers back on and asked him nicely if he needed to look inside my purse, too, and he gave me a strange look, ran the security wand thru my bag, grinned at me and said "thank you" to which I replied "NO, thank you for looking out for my safety". I think he realized at that point that I was just a lady going thru Hot flashes, not a threat to airline security. Hubby and I both got a real big laugh out of that when we finally got on the plane. I guess that, too, was another Magical moment.

DW really had them bad a few years ago at WDW in Dec 2001. Pretty much the same thing happened to her at security. She wasn't as gracious though.
