Larry, Tara, my dad and brother went on a fishing excursion this morning. I had wanted to go with them, but woke up with a horrible headache and decided to stay in bed and get some extra rest. They enjoyed their fishing trip tremendously and Tara caught the biggest fish! Larry says that was a highlight of the trip for him and he will be doing another one in the future, so I hope I can make the next one - it sounded like great fun.

We all decided to go to the World Showcase portion of Epcot around 11:30 a.m. Once there, we split up - my brother, sister and DBIL went in one direction and the rest of us went to the Germany pavilion for lunch at the Biergarten. I am glad we did this - the food was wonderful, but it was the show that was the highlight of this meal! My parents thoroughly enjoyed this - we got to see a man playing a saw (a first for me) and one performer played "It's a Small World" on cowbells, which was truly amazing (he had to go really fast). If you ever get a chance to eat here, make sure you catch the show - it was tremendous fun. After lunch, Larry broke off from us and went back to the villa for a nap (if you haven't noticed, he loves mid-day naps when he is vacationing). Tara wanted to do some shopping in WS, so she took off on her own. My parents and I went over to the America pavilion and enjoyed the Voices of Liberty - their voices are so beautiful, I could listen to them for hours!! Then we took in the show there and decided to go back to our villa for some down time. We all wanted to be well rested for tonight - we are going to see the 9:00 p.m. Cirque du Soleil show!!

Before the Cirque show, we had reservations at Ohana's for dinner, so we took the bus to Magic Kingdom and then rode the monorail over to the Polynesian. Ohana's was wonderful, as usual, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals tremendously. We then caught the bus from the Polynesian to Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and walked from there to West Side. We dutifully followed the signs from the bus stop, which have arrows directing you to the right. Unfortunately, this caused us to have a really long walk because the walk way to West Side was closed. We had to walk through Pleasure Island and then around to the Cirque tent. We later figured out if we had turned left and walked around Planet Hollywood and the AMC theater, we would have had a much shorter walk (and, in fact, that is how we walked back to the bus stop after the show). Lesson learned: Walk to the left to go to West Side from the Pleasure Island bus stop.

We had great seats for the show - we were in Section 103, Row H (which is the last row of that section). These are close to the stage, but far enough away that you don't have to crane your neck to see what happens in the air. The best part of this show was that my sister got to be in the pre-show!!! The two clowns that come out with the various boxes were right behind her, and the shorter one began to fuss with her hair and pat her face. The taller one whistled at him to go do something else, but every time the tall one would turn away, the short one would come back to my sister and fuss over her again. It doesn't sound very funny in telling it, but it really was hysterical with the expressions and body language of each of the clowns involved. The show itself was exceptional and everyone enjoyed it immensely. Some of the things you see there are so amazing, you wouldn't have believed they could be done if you hadn't seen it with your own eyes. My DBIL said it was the first show he had ever attended where he felt it was worth the admission price - and we had Category 1 seats! I'm glad we were able to see this show in that location - it was a truly priceless experience for me.
