Our Magical "Disneymoon Take Two!" Trip Report**DAY 4-5 ADDED!!**

Thanks so much!! You have THREE!!! OMG!!! A little pack of shih-tzus!!! Abby is 2 and a half, and seriously the best, smartest, most loving, mushy amazing dog in the world! WE LOVE SHIH-TZUS!! She's liver colored, so dark brown, with a little bit of white on her chest. What colors are yours?

We actually used to have 4 shih tzus. Gizmo is 10 years old and is white and cream colored and then Gadget and Gonzo are black and white. They are 7 and 5 years old. Molly was black with little white feet. We love our shih tzus they are all rescues from our local shelter so we have had some issues but we have worked them out. I love love your TR!!!

Day 1 - again, you guys are ADORABLE! :cutie:

First....:rotfl: BAHAHA @ the ponchos in bed!!! I literally would have died laughing if I were witnessing that!!

So what is the Tink's Shadow that you got back in the room?? Is it something that is posted on the wall or what?? And I really hope you have the monogrammed towels displayed in your bathroom! I sooo want some!! They turned out amazing!

Day 2 - Okay, I can't lol here cuz i'm at the office, but I seriously wish I could have lol'ed at the guys 'moment'! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I would have loved to see their faces when they were told "Happy Anniversary!!"

"during my 3-week WDW stay"

Girl, might as well make it a month stay...even's are better than odd's so make it 4 weeks! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

I think it's so freakin cute that you DH got into looking for Hidden Mickey's! I wonder if I should get my DH into that next time to keep him alive and in the moment! :lmao:

I've been lucky since my first trip, I got a towel animal (not sure what the heck it was) and then on my last trip, I got a mickey head towel animal (if you count that a towel animal, which I do! :lmao:) So hopefully, third times a charm!

Yay! Ok so now i'm all caught up and ready to hear about the rest of your day! Your writing technique is spectacular btw! :thumbsup2 :)

Happy Hump day!! :cool1: Hopefully you don't work weekends, otherwise you won't care that it's hump day

:wizard: Here's hoping work gets better for you! pixiedust: I know how you feel...I was like that about 6 months ago, trying to balance two jobs, with working out, making dinner for the familia, AND trying to have a social life (which is still non-existent btw :sad2:)..it's rough! Hang in there! :goodvibes

Question: by looking at the food you got in the mornings with the Club (lounge) level, would you say it's worth it? I think it would be a fun experience to get that one day, but then I would downgrade to from Deluxe to Basic or maybe even Quick-service dining...what do you think??

Hiiii!!! I do not work weekends anymore! I did for 9 years, but not anymore!! Today is actually my Friday, thank God. I told my boss yesterday that I was going to be sending my resume out. I have 2 bosses really, one works with me every day and I can't take him anymore. The other boss is more in charge, and he's the one I called. I'm very happy to start looking for something else.

About Club Level, if you think about it in the sense of the monetary value of the food, it will almost never be worth it. For us, it's the pure convenience of being able to walk out of our room and go get breakfast really close, really early (or late!) with no crowds and no hassle. We do a lot of morning EMH, so it was invaluable to be able to grab a relatively healthy breakfast at 7:00 am sharp, and then get to the buses. I personally think the combo of CL and the regular DDP is PERFECT. The lounge supplements the breakfast that is missing from the DDP. Then you can use your CS and TS as you like! DH and I are able to share most CS meals (not if we're both starving, but under normal circumstances), so sometimes we end up with an extra CS that we use on our last day. Because we eat later dinners, the lounge was perfect for cheese and bread, and veggies and dip when I was getting hungry around 5:00-5:30 pm. Even if dinner is at 7:00 pm, by 5:30 I need a lil snack! The last great thing about the lounge is the cold beer!! They have Bud Light, and I don't remember what else...But DH was happy with that, and I was happy with the wine selections. Also the desserts and cordials are great, Amarula is my new fave!!

Ahhh all this talk is getting me thinking about Novemberrrrr!!! It needs to get here already!! :dance3:

After our photo session we hightailed it to the MK! In between the MSEP and SNTFS, both couples were able to take a pic while the others held our well staked out spots. Here's ours!

AnniversaryPhotopasspics038.jpg

This pic is from Day Three, in the WL lobby. It's a little sneak preview of what's to come...After a little talking DH and I decided to head down to the lobby for some shopping (for me) and Mickey hunting (for him)! On our way we stopped and snapped a quick Photopass pic :thumbsup2

AnniversaryPhotopasspics042.jpg

Well I hope you enjoyed this little photo journey for now!! I promise the rest of day three will be done soon, and we'll move on to day 4 at Animal Kingdom!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I had no idea they took pics over at the WL?!?!

Yay! Can't wait to hear Day 3!! :cool1:

Day 3-Part Two

We were both pretty cranky from the whole getting on the wrong bus situation, so we decided to go down to the pool bar and grab a cocktail, and watch the geyser go off. So we made our way down there, and man, even at 5:00 pm the Florida sun is soooo strong. You could easily burn at 5 pm if you're fair and are sitting out in the sun with no sunblock. We were thrilled to learn they had Patron tequila for our margaritas at the pool bar!!! Tops!!! That just made our day hahaha, it's the little things people! :thumbsup2 So we enjoyed our drinks out by the pool and watched the geyser while we figured out what to do next. I decided I wanted to do some shopping in the gift shop, and DH decided he wanted to...You guessed it...Hunt for Mickeys!!

While I headed off to the Mercantile, DH started off towards the Cubs Den, which was the first stop on his list. When he walked in, he was a little out of place in the nearly empty kids area. There were a few little guys playing, and two older women CM's watching them. DH is very cute and charming (if I do say so myself), and he went over to one of them and told them he was hunting Mickeys, and before he could say another word, one of the women grunted out "Mural, back wall" :rotfl::rotfl: DH said she sounded just like Roz!!! :scared1:

While he was hunting, I was shopping. I had seen an antique looking Swarovski Mickey head bracelet in the gift shop, and I knew I wanted to get it for my mom. I also was looking for some more charms for the special princess charm bracelet for our little cousin. I also bought an Ariel Kooky Pen and a Snow White Kooky pen for myself, because I'm silly and they were adorable. They had my favorite Goofy gummy fruit snacks (the big pack with 4 packs on it) and it was one snack credit! Amazing! While I was paying I got into a conversation with the manager who was ringing me up, and it turns out he's been to Buenos Aires, Argentina twice before! That's where my mom is from, and we've spent a lot of time there. It was really nice meeting him, he was from Puerto Rico and his name was Jose I believe.

I finally made my way back up to the room, and was wondering where the heck DH was this whole time! As soon as I walked in the door, my cell phone started buzzing, and it was him! He had left his KTTW card in the room, and therefore was stuck in the lobby! (You need your key card to access the CL floor). I laughed and went down to get him. On the way up, he started telling me his crazy story. Well my daredevil, CRAZY husband decided to go walk out onto the road and get the hidden Mickey's as you are driving into the WL, AND there was one on the security guard booth. Basically, Mike got yelled at for being out on the road (he was on the grass, but still he wasn't supposed to be there), but then as only Mike could do, he made friends with the woman security guard from Brooklyn. Of course! She was like, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE??!!!" And he started to explain about the Mickeys, and he told her, "there's one in your booth, did you know about it?" And she's like no, where? And he found it and pointed it out to her! It was on the outside of a beam! She said "oh that's so obvious" :rotfl: Well you never noticed it before lady!!! So crisis averted, but I gave him a tongue lashing for disobeying Disney rules!!! Crazy kid!!

Here is the infamous Security Booth Hidden Mickey

DisneyAnniversaryTrip317.jpg

We both had a good laugh over this story though. I also think it's hysterical that he gets up to the lady, sees her name tag says Brooklyn, NY, and goes "You're from Brooklyn??? I'm from Long Island!!!" all excited. Not to mention he was wearing a Wu-Tang shirt :rotfl: So funny. Anyhoo, we were both a bit starved, so we decided to enjoy some of the evening offerings. We had more veggies, cheese, bread, dip, and some wine and beer. Then we decided to do something we've never done before...Get a caricature done!!! I've stayed at WL before and always marveled at the artists and how good they are. The one artist we had seen earlier while in the lobby was AMAZING. After we ate, we went down to the lobby to get ours done. The artist, Kenny Durkin, had gone on break for 10 mins. That's ok, I sat in the chair and waited! He got back right away, and got started on us. As he was working, a line was forming, just as we had seen happen an hour ago. This guy was GOOD, and busy!! It took about 15 minutes to finish the caricature. We took it in a hard roll to go, and after everything it was $44 I believe. We tipped him $10 because he was seriously, SO good. Here's a pic!

Ok I just realized how orange and horrible this pic is, so please forgive me!

After the caricature, we had just enough time to go upstairs and get ready for our dinner at Artist Point. It was really nice to just have a day of doing whatever we wanted, that ended in a romantic dinner at our resort. We made our way down to the lobby, and checked in for our reservation at about 8:15. We were seated at a beautiful table by a window, and our server Osiris made our celebration amazing. She brought us complimentary Rosa Regale to start, as well as a complimentary gazpacho. She even took our picture for us!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip207.jpg

The dinner was soooo good. My salmon was amazing, but the most amazing thing on the menu was the macaroni and cheese. It was sooo creamy and light and amazing. YUM!! DH was even able to find some hidden Mickeys in the restaurant, and Osiris was able to show him a couple that weren't even in his official guide book! We finished dinner in time to take dessert back up to our room, to watch SNTFS from our balcony.

I've never been able to see or watch fireworks from my room, and I have to tell you, it's amazing, and we've been spoiled. Now, view is definitely something I take into account! I will pay for a great view on a short trip instead of club level for sure. Anyway, the fireworks were just amazing, and we watched them while sipping on Amarula from the lounge. It was great. After that we got into bed, because the next day we had a date with the animals of the Kilamanjaro Safari!

Yay!!! :cool1:

Great update!

That caricature is awesome!!! Thinking about getting one next time we're there, since yours turned out sooo good!

Bahaha @ DH! He is DEFINITELY determined to find those Hidden Mickeys! I love that you guys start up a convo with anyone!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait for the next day!

I love that your DH loves Belle . . . my DH does as well, but she has to be in her yellow dress of he gets really sulky!!!:rotfl: It's lucky we're not the jealous types!!!:goodvibes
