our Luge day!

My DD11 really enjoyed watching the Luge in the olympics. I'll admit I've always thought it was cool too. She decided that she wants to learn how to luge! I told her I find out more about it, if I could. I discovered the US Luge team site. It turned out this past weekend they were having a luge challenge event for the public at a local ski area! We went and had an awesome time! DD reaaly, really wants to learn more about it now!

You can do part of the luge run in Lake Placid- a former winter olympic site. We camp in Lake Placid almost every summer- and dh has always wanted to do this. BUT- it's really expensive.

They told us about the Lake Placid track on Saturday! That sounds so cool!!!
