You are most definitely blessed, sorry you have to go through more surgery, but we are most definitely here to get you through the post op period!!! You are fortunate to have contacts in the school system!! The whole process is SO frustrating and time consuming, it breaks my heart at the parents who don't know the hoops you have to jump through...or even worse the families which have a language barrier and may be unaware of what is happening (or not happening) My pediatrician gave us the choice of a psychiatrist or neurodevelopmental doc and I am thankful we got such a great doc. Our neurodevelopmental pediatrician handles both my DD9 (HRH) and now my DS5 which is AWESOME!! Plus he's a BIG Disney fan

And being that you are now part of the RC family...remember we are always here for YOU TOO

Jen I am SO sorry, there is a lot going on (which doesn't sound good) I hope you are able to go in May I really do, but you have to deal with all that is going on right now. DH is upset with me...being out of work I should've cancelled our trip and taken the loss of rental car..(I would've had most of the JetBlue $ credited) BUT truth be told WE as a family need this trip..so I cut some costs..and will deal with the mortgage company when we get back (because the payment will be late for December ) My priorities are SO screwed up, but my mental health requires a few days away from here

I hope the kennel has been picking up the vet bills Sheila! Very sorry about Bella! Come to NJ next thanksgiving, you can stay with us !!!!! Let Dmil and Bob stay in CT!! Bella can come!! HRH is AWESOME with dogs, she will be well cared for, promises

Jeanette I totally understand being late on the mortgage in favor of family time at Disney. I have had a hard time too with priorities but in the end everything works out and I cannot stress enough the importance of spending time with your family. Work and the bills will always be there.

Heading out in a bit to pickup a refill of Bella's anti-inflamitory med, she is done with the antibiotic and no have not heard a thing back from the kennel about the Vet bills, I see small claims court in the future possibly

I wish I could come to Jersey, I really miss the Holidays with my boys.

You must be excited only a couple more days and it is Disney Time!

DH and I said some things to the kiddos on this trip that were out of frustration but we put them in the position. We are not happy with ourselves and need to take a

Right now I just feel so defeated and my frustration over Bella's slow process of healing is just wearing me down.

We had to get a couple birthday presents for a party today, SO we went out last night to Toys r Us and guess what DH found and decided to buy without me even having to ask? A Mickey Mouse waffle maker!! So what did we have this morning for brunch? Mickey waffles!! (I even made some blueberry ones that were delicious!). Made me smile.

Time to finish the pies

Thanks. It mostly was, so I'm calling it a win.

I am a resort changer. I feel like this thread is perfect for me. Our first trip in 2010 I switched our resort from WL to CB to Pop to POR. We had never stayed on property before. It was a lot of pressure. On our 2013 we switched from POR to Pop, then back to POR. We are taking another trip in June. We have gotten a bit better. We have switched from POFQ to Pop. But June is still a bit away. Who knows what will happen! I am a bit worried switching from a moderate to a value, only because it is all I know. A lot of people seem to like Pop though. Besides the beds and rooms being smaller, which I am okay with, is there anything else I should be aware of? I actually like the idea of the bus lines, instead of one covered area that people just congregated under and you have no idea who got there first.

I am so sorry you had to go through all that trial and error but so grateful you finally have an answer so that you can work from there! I hope your DS is doing better and good for you on pushing the issue!

Thank you!! He is doing so much better. There was a time where he went to the office three or more times a week. Honestly, me having to pick him up because of behavioral issues lost me a job. Now, we rarely get a call from the school.

Hi everyone. Just popping in, been reading along, no heart to post. Lots going on here since we got home. May trip may be out, taking a loss on the plane tickets possibly too.

So, I have to share this here, because I can't tell my mil and fil (b/c the fil will spill the beans), and I can't say anything on FB (b/c the boys can see it). We were able to get the boys and XBOX One!! WOO HOO!! We got to Fry's Electronics store about 11 PM Thanksgiving Day thinking it would be open at midnight. By 12:10 AM, when it still wasn't open, we realized it wasn't opening. I thought there was parking in the rear of the store, so only having 2 cars in the parking lot wasn't a sign. Turns out, there is not parking in the rear of the store, so it should have been a sign. We ended up going over to a nearby Best Buy, knowing all the "good stuff" would be gone. Well, David wanted to look at the XBOX stuff. A woman was talking to a group of employees and walked away just as we walked up. Turns out, she decided she didn't want the XBOX One, she had a ticket for. They gave it to us and told us to follow the blue line, and run, because they may be all gone already. Well, they weren't and we got it!! The boys have no clue they are getting it. Anytime they bring up the XBOX One, my DH talks about what a piece of cow patty it is.

Also I got my DSLR camera!! It's not a Nikon D3200, but I'm very happy with it so far. It's a Canon Rebel T3, and the package came with a 18-55mm lense, and a 75-300mm. I'm going to give the friend I work with my Fujifilm. She doesn't have a camera and is going on a two week cruise to Hawaii next December.

Congrats Wookieon the XBox! I just picked up my DH an iPad 2 on Black Friday sale, yes, Black Friday is creeping up here! I guess because we are near the U.S. border, retailers are trying to keep sales here, instead of everyone running across the border. He is computer illiterate! Never wanted to use it. We had a tower PC for years in the rec room. He wouldn't even turn it on! :roll eyes: All his friends have MY email to get in touch with him!! Sheech.
So he's gonna learn how to at least check his own email on the iPad!!!

Sheila I'm so sorry to hear Bella isn't progressing as we all hoped I hope you are giving that kennel heck. My prayers are with you and Bella.

update I did our POR online check in last night, and made my FP+ selections today.
In August we used bands and FP+ but now they've gone and changed the rules again. And I'm not happy with them They've Tiered attractions in Epcot and DHS, how long till they do it to the other 2?

Now you can only pic ONE headliner!! So, at Epcot you have to choose between Sorin or TT. Can't have FP for both Same at DHS. ONE headliner only. Then you get to pic 2 attractions you never needed a FP for.
How is this improving the guest experience

I need to send hugs to my dear friends PAS and Jen! So sorry to hear you guys are having some hard times , this year has just been a year to forget I think , so much heartache all around! I agree sometimes just getting away is needed for our sanity, which is why I am so needing this small getaway next week! Hugs to you both, I pray things look up and I am always here for lending an ear and support, I love you ladies - you mean the world to me!

Can hardly believe in 2 days I'm on my way (hopefully!) as a huge winter storm with upwards of 30cm of snow is blowing through Alberta Sun/Monday -- praying it's cleared out by Tuesday AM, my flights scheduled for 6:30 AM!

Our worst problem was we changed our plans so much we missed most of our FP times and I had very little success trying to change them the day of as there seemed to be little availability

Pas, what a beautiful post It just really got to me. You said it all so perfectly. I'm so gratefuly for you and all the love, support and friendship from all our RC family.

Wookie/Jen/Sheila, I know how difficult it can be with life’s challenges to have the energy to post at times. Please know that we understand and will always be here for you.

Sue, wonderful news that your other DD can join you for a day at the Poly!! Will you be joining her at Universal too? We love Harry Potter, it's what will lure us back. (and no didn't get a PM from you).

And Sue I hear ya on the tiering system for FP+ We were not able to get both TT an Soarin for our trip this week. I opted for Soarin' as TT is easier to do in the single rider line. Hoping as Disney tweaks the system, things will change.

I am thankful for so many things - and this last year has taught me to truly appreciate what I have. 2 years ago I was told my hip was too bad to have another child but I found surgeons who worked their magic and took me from not being able to walk more than a block to taking on Disney 8 weeks post-op (admittedly with a cane, but still!). Nine months after surgery, they gave the all-okay and now I have my wonderful little Peanut and my eldest DD has a chance to be the big sister she always wanted to be. She came 2 months early but was as tenacious as her momma and is doing wonderfully!
Unfortunately, it's more surgery for me but I now know I can make it through and reading all the issues everyone here is dealing with and how strong they are makes me realize not only are you all a support network but you help everyone else find their own strength.

In a sense, we can't make up our minds, but once we do it's GAME ON!!!!
