Our last WDW trip before I have a baby!!! A Dec. 08 PTR w/ pics. Big news! 11/13

Yey I love the pics - and want the bag and the clock and the castle :thumbsup2

I know what you mean when you say Epcot is tiring I'm hoping with it being a little cooler in Dec it will be easier. Just make sure you to all the things you have to do first then do other stuff.

I've also got the passporter (we got it in 2005 so should really get an update! Any ideas the best place to buy it is? Do they sell it at WDW?) it's so handy, and I love how if you've got the binder you can put other pages in - the only trouble we have is punching the holes, I'll have to get my 1 hole punch out ;) )

Joelp - love the snack ideas :lovestruc I'm thinking this year will be a snack fest, there are so many we've never tried (I never seemed to be hungry when we were going past all these yummy goodies :confused3 ) gives me lots of stuff to take pictures of and post :thumbsup2
Oh and thanks for the Boo  I was terrified :rotfl2:
I can't wait for a Christmas version - 73 days to go :woohoo:

Regarding my plans, for Day 2, we plan to use some snack credits during the day and I'm still trying to get an earlier ADR for Cali Grill so I think we'll be ok.

If you say so ....

When and where is the dis meet?

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1944667

We won't be going to any parks on the 11th and we'll be napping after AK on the 12th.

I plan on taking a nap just about every day ... we are on vacation after all ... :rotfl:

The 13th is the only day I'm a bit worried about as a full day at Epcot from open to close is tiring. In 2006, we did epcot from 1pm to close and we were exhausted, so I hope its not too bad!

"When in doubt - simplify" ...

I take it you like Mickey Premium bars.....lol.

Just a little ... :)

Becx--I usually get all my disney guide books on amazon.com. Even if you don't get a 2008, they usually have 2007 or before for really cheap. I only paid a penny plus shipping of course, for one of my guidebooks!

Thanks for reading you guys!

Well, DH works for Washington Mutual Bank, and not sure if any of you have kept up with the news or not, but Chase bank has bought them out and they could possibly be firing my DH today.:scared1:

He went to work as normal today and so far, I have not gotten a call from him with any bad news so I'm hoping that is a good sign and that they are keeping him and that he is not fired.

I work too, but I don't make nearly as much as we need to pay our bills so if they fire him and he doesn't get another job fast, I'm worried that my trip will be postphoned and our plans to have another baby as well. :sad2:

Thank goodness DD is only 5 and doesn't understand what is going on.

So, please send some pixiedust my way. I'll need it. I'll keep you guys updated and let you all know what happens either tonight or sometime this weekend.

By the way, joelp has decided on getting together for a dis meet on December 9th during mvmcp. If any of you would like to attend, please visit the link in my signature for more info. It would be great to meet you all!

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for you and your family, I'm so sorry you have to go through this - hope you get some good news. It's bad enough with all the prices going up let alone this BIG

Oh and thanks for the tip, I may get something from amazon.com delivered to the hotel as they don't ship to the UK!

Thanks so much! He still hasn't called or come home so I'm taking it as good news so far.:thumbsup2

Sending as much Pixie Dust as I can.:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks you guys. I just got word from DH. According to him, they are not letting anyone go yet but they said its still a possibility so we'll know within the next few weeks. This is so frustrating because they should let the workers know so people can go start looking for another job to support their families. Well, thankfully, DH still has his job as of right now. Thanks for all the pixiedust.

I'm in! sounds like you have a great trip planned! Can't wait to read more!

Lots and lots of pixiedust: for your DH's job! We bank at Washington Mutual and we'd talked off and on for a few weeks about moving our $$, we didn't but it's safe now and we don't have to worry. We may still move because DH doesn't like chase. THere are a lot of nice people who work in our branch and I was worried for their jobs. I hope all the employees get to keep their jobs!

Well -- try not too worry too much about things you can't control ...

My guess it will take a few weeks for things be sorted out, so try to live as "normal" as possible ... (and get the DH to make sure his resume is up to date ...)

You're still young, so you have plenty of time to have another kid (or a whole infield worth!!) - so don't stress about that either ... (in my case, I'm too old to think about another kid ... ... and I'll be just fine if I never see an exploding diaper again ... :lmao:)

As for the trip - you'll need it - so maybe think about possibly "adjusting" as opposed to "postponing" ...

But with all the pixie dust headed your way, I think you'll be fine ...

Speaking of which -pixiedust:

Such a shame they are waiting to tell people, make sure you take the time to prepare for the worst and hope for the best :lovestruc

Sucks to have to wait, but at least he still has a job for the mean time.

I agree with Joelp look at ways of cutting down the cost of the vacation, compromise if you have to  thinking of you guys :grouphug:

Thanks. As of right now, I'm going ahead with my plans as normal. If there is any indication that DH won't have a job soon, he will start looking for another job immediately, but we're still hoping he can stay where he is.

So, the last time I was in WDW, I was on a strict budget and only had $200 for souvenir money. Here are some of the things that I bought:

From the emporium on mainstreet. $20 each

Also from emporium: I think this was either $15 or $20. You can see all my DVD's in the back.

I also bought 4 coffee mugs at Mickeys mart in DTD. They were 4 for $10. They each had pinocchio on them. I thought this was a great buy and perfect for family back home. :thumbsup2

In the same store, I got Mickey ice cube trays so now we always have Mickey floating around in our cups! Cute and only $1.

Sorry...no pics of those.

Finally, I love christmas decorations :santa: so I bought 6 or so ornaments from the xmas store in DTD. They were all disney couples and I got one of tink by herself. I love them. I can't wait to dig in my christmas closet and get them out to show you guys but I'll have to wait until Thanksgiving week which is when I start decorating my home.

This time around, I'd like to get:

-Another ornament. :santa: Hopefully, I can get one every trip and start a tradition.

-A book from DHS. I remember walking around near the sounds dangerous at DHS and there was a souvenir shop outside, but covered. I found this awesome book about WDW which had intresting facts and awesome pictures and I wanted to buy it, but I was on a budget so I figured I'd hold onto my money for something else instead. Unfortuanately, I don't remember what it was called and I hope they still have it.

-I also planned on buying the Cirque du soleil dvd, but luckily, I was able to record it from TV so I don't have to anymore which means I can buy something else!!! :yay:

So far, this is all I really want, but I'm sure I'll think of more stuff by the time I leave.

We're also definetely gonna do as much photopass as possible. We did this before but I was dissappointed that we didn't use it to our full advantage. I didn't know that we could take up to 200 pics and then just pay for the CD, so we only took about 80 pics. This time, I want to do many more.

I also hope to do photopass poses where the photographer poses you in a way that later on tink or stitch (and a few other characters) will be in the pic with us. I've seen some disers do this before and I think its so cool!

DD is also saving for a souvenir. So far, she is up to about $12. Her goal is $20.

:yay: :yay: :yay: 67 days!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Coming up: Park goals
