Our last WDW trip before I have a baby!!! A Dec. 08 PTR w/ pics. Big news! 11/13

:yay: :yay: I can't wait for deluxe dining!!!:yay: :yay:

So, since we love trying new restaurants, I had no choice but to purchase the deluxe dp for this trip! I'm so excited about it. As you all know, the deluxe dp comes with 2 snacks per person per night of stay, which gives us a grand total of 48 snack credits. Wow!

2 snacks per person x 8 nights= 16 snacks each
16 x 3 people = 48 snacks!

So, after DD and I drooled over the dessert thread:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1902284

and keeping up with what counts as a snack credit in 2008:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1683477

I have come up with a list of must have snacks that we'd like to try:

Make your own treats from Goofy's candy co at DTD
Strawberry shortcake from Sunshine seasons at Epcot
Anything from boulangerie in France
Icee from Japan
Funnel cake from Sleepy hollow
Mickey Premium bar

Of course, I also love cheesecake and soft serve Ice cream so I'll be keeping an eye out for those too. :woohoo:

You all may be wondering why I have not added a dole whip to my list and to be honest, I have had this before and didn't care for it much. :confused3 Don't flame me though!

I have had the funnel cake and mickey premium bar before too and they were awesome. Here is what the funnel cake from Sleepy hollow looks like. It's topped with whipped cream and strawberries. :lovestruc

That's ok. Thanks. Yeah, I started to worry that I wasn't very entertaining since this is my 3rd attempt at this PTR, but its doing better now. I was about to give up!;)

Wow some yummy looking deserts on that first thread :thumbsup2 I can wait to try some

I like your choices, we want to try the funnel cake too, not sure about the cream. Also I can't wait to go to Goofys Candy Co. I may even try every type :confused3

the School Bread is also yummy which is found in Norway in WS at Epcot.. Me and DH love love love it!

Wow.. I just realized you guys were doing Deluxe Dining! Thats alot of food :rotfl: You may be rolling each other out of the parks every day :lmao: :rotfl2:

We will be there Dec. 11-14, just the DH and me! Haven't started a PTR because I'm still working on the Trip report for June!:rotfl: I like your plans so far!

lol. Don't flame me, but I already tried a dole whip and didn't care for it. Not sure why everyone loves those things so much. Even DD didn't like it. :confused3 Thanks for reading. More coming soon!

Thanks everyone. More coming up.....

We'll be eating at Tappan Edo later in the week ...

Sunday, December 7th
MK day
Bfst: Boma (7:35am)
Lunch: snacks
Dinner: California Grill (9pm)....hoping to catch holiday wishes

You'll need to eat lunch - you can't go 14 hours between meals while touring WDW ... MVMCP starts at 7, so you'll need to be out of the park by then. Keep trying for an earlier CG ressie ...
We're staying at AKL! - and heading to MK this day, too ... :thumbsup2
Breakfast at Mara for us (assuming my expected "nervous" stomach will cooperate ... with dinner at Boma ...)

Monday, December 8th
DHS day
lunch: 50's PTC (11:30am)
dinner: Beaches n' cream (whenever we leave DHS)

Planning to sleep in a bit? - smart move - you'll need the rest!!

Tuesday, December 9th aka crazy day
Mvmcp
Bfst: Chef Mickeys (8:35)
Parasailing at contemporary (10:30)
Wonderland tea party (1:30)
Dinner: Ohana's (5pm)

Wednesday, December 10th
DHS day

dinner: Jiko (8:55pm)

OK - this is getting scary ... (did you use the TGM suggestions for "best parks", too? ...) :3dglasses However, we'll be sleeping in and I don't plan to get to DHS until later in the day ...

Thursday, Decmeber 11th
no park today
lunch: Wolfgang puck cafe (11:45)
disneyquest
dinner: Narcoossee's (8:35pm)

Can you get an earlier ressie for Nar's? That will be another late night followed by an early day ... You guys will be beat!!

Friday, Decmber 12th
AK day
Bfst: Tusker house (8:05)
Dinner: HDDR (last show, category 1)

Great minds think alike!! :lmao: The plan is to have lunch at Flame Tree BBQ ... but we'll be having dinner at Boma ...

Another late night followed by an early morning ... ?? I think you may be pushing it ... everyone will be more tired as the week goes on, so you need to slow down a little ...

Saturday, December 13th
Epcot
Bfst: Akershus (8:30am)
lunch: Marrakesh (1:30pm)
Dinner: Le Cellier (7:30)

No set plans for us - but probably either Epcot or MK ... depending on whether or not our airline changes our flight time (yet again ... :confused3 ) The DW and I traditionally eat at Marrakesh each trip - but are passing this time ..

Sunday, December 14th
MK
lunch: Whispering Canyon cafe (11:45am)
Dinner: yachstman steakhouse (7:10pm)

We'll be unpacking back in Jersey ... :sad1: ... but I'll get to see my
pluto: !!

I know this is very aggressive, but DD can stay up late with no problem and I think we can do it based on previous trips. What are your thoughts?

Too many late nights followed by early mornings ... do one or the other ... or you'll be fried by the 3rd/4th day ... :sad1:

A couple of things to note:
I'm trying to get an earlier ADR for the California Grill. I really wanted to eat before the fireworks, so that we could watch the fireworks and get back to bed afterwards, but no availability. Do you guys think I should keep trying? I call every day.

Coming up next.....our history of wdw, and snacks I can't wait to try!

I like your "park visit" schedule ... couldn't have done better myself ... :lmao:

I see in your signature you were there in May...so were we. The weather was great and it was so uncrowded!

We were there in May 2007, too!! DD's first trip ... Mother's Day weekend and the following week ...

Snacks??

Mickey Ice Cream Bars, for sure ...:woohoo:

Cinnamon Buns from the Main Street Bakery ... :thumbsup2 (and just about anything else ... :yay: )

more Mickey Bars ... :rotfl2:

The semi-frozen slushie things they have at the Goofy Candy, Co. - great on a hot day!!

... another Mickey Bar ... :lmao:

Boxes of Minnie cookies and bags of Goofy candy to bring home ...

OK - time to head back to the Midlands ... (that was some detour ... )

... but first ... :mickeybar ...

joelp---thanks for reading!

Regarding my plans, for Day 2, we plan to use some snack credits during the day and I'm still trying to get an earlier ADR for Cali Grill so I think we'll be ok.

When and where is the dis meet?

We won't be going to any parks on the 11th and we'll be napping after AK on the 12th.

The 13th is the only day I'm a bit worried about as a full day at Epcot from open to close is tiring. In 2006, we did epcot from 1pm to close and we were exhausted, so I hope its not too bad!

I take it you like Mickey Premium bars.....lol.

Here's what I've been using to plan and to pass the time until my awesome trip:

The unofficial gude, old copy (from 2006) but in decent condition and the new editions are only slightly different so I didn't buy a new one.

Passporter, another great book:

...........and here are some Disney things around my apartment that I thought I'd show you guys since you love pics so much.

DD's birthday card from the Crystal Palace in May signed by Pooh and the gang:

Next to it is a toy she got from Norway in Epcot. It lights up and we figured it would be great for dark rides.

My mouse pad from the Mickey moms club:

My purse:

A christmas gift from last year:

DD's castle, got this over the phone. It's great. Came with lots of pieces. Disney couples, a cinderella coach, etc. It also lights up and has sounds.
