Our last Sea Day!

We ate breakfast and then grabbed some loungers by the goofy pool. It wasn’t that crowded and the wind was a little less than in days past. The kids were feeling much better and so I let them get in and swim. Their sore throats were gone as was mine but hubby was still suffering with his. We sat there until about 11:30 and then went back to the cabin to get changed.

I decided to start the packing process this afternoon so I didn’t have to do it all on the Castaway Cay day as we were really looking forward to going there and hopefully having it sunny and warm.

We got that done and set off for lunch (seems like all I report is eating but we really didn’t eat much) and the buffet was questionable for us. We ended up at Pinocchio’s for pizza and chicken fingers instead.

We decided we needed adult time so we told the kids that since they were feeling better they needed to try the clubs out again. The boys once again were NOT happy about it but dd was. We took the older ones to their club but the 5 year old refused to go. He actually opted to take a nap rather than go to the clubs (and he HATES to nap) and so we were a little saddened by that as we had wanted to be alone and have a drink at a bar or just be together outside of the room. Oh well we got 2 hours of peace and quiet which was nice.

About 5 we got the older kids out of the clubs and got ready for our dinner in Parrot Cay. We hit shutters on the way to dinner and got a few more pictures. Another thing that was impressive with Disney is they sell the picture package. We got 10 of the smaller pictures for $85.00 BUT if we didn’t use them all they would refund the money back to our account! I give them kudos for that as not many other lines (if any) offer the same thing.

Got to dinner and the menu had absolutely nothing on it that appealed to me. I do NOT like any kind of seafood and all but 1 dish on the main menu was some kind of fish or seafood like lobster. I ordered the chicken breast but when it came it was bland and I hated it. Hubby had the lobster and our cute waiter brought him out a double order. He actually even came and cut the lobster out of the shell. Hubby started to eat it and ended up having to pick out hard pieces of something with each bite (what it was I have no idea because ocean food grosses me out) but he was not impressed with the lobster either. I actually ended up just eating the warm lava cake and MMMMMM!! The desserts for the most part were much better to us than the main courses.

Tonight was Disney Dreams but we didn’t go. We thought it was ok last time but we didn’t care to see it again so we went to the arcade instead. That was the kids’ payoff for going to the clubs and our 5 year old taking a nap.

About 9 we decided to go back to the room as there wasn’t anything else to do and when we walked into our room *adult room was 8504 and kids was 8506* the smell of raw sewage was gagging. Our bathroom with the tub part smelled so badly we couldn’t even go in there. We just shut the door and used some perfume as we didn’t want to deal with maintenance again and especially at 9:30.

The boat started rocking very badly again and we had gale force winds hit us one more time. I will be SO glad to get off of this ship on Saturday which saddens me as I’ve never felt that way about a cruise. Went to bed dreaming about Castaway Cay and praying we had decent weather as our first time there it was rainy and put a damper on our experience.

Heidi, I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed reading all of your trip reports. I loved the good, and felt for all of you for the bad.
Again, thank you for all of your hard work writing them and your honesty.
